Hello everybody. My name is er-uh, Nvd2ceb4 and I'm an ice cream addict...

I love ice cream and have found myself to be slobbering at the frozen ice cream section on numerous occasions.
In the summer buying ice cream and taking it home is a real downer b/c you have to worry about it melting.
I had a ice cream maker but the minute the machine began to stir the ice cream, the metal bowl would start to get warm causing me to have frozen water instead of ice cream plus I hated leaving a bowl in the freezer because it didn't matter how long you left it in there it would thaw out within 10-15 minutes causing the ice cream making a bust.
So I scoured the net and came across this lovely diy ice cream making process. I tried it once and became obsessed but had to stop. I found this idea sometime around 2012 and have been making homemade ice cream off and on since.
Also sorry for the camera angle. I have very limited counter space and my kitchen is small. I'm still trying to find better working angles for my experiments. I'll get it eventually.

Here are the products I've used:
1 tablespoon
1 regular spoon
1 spatula
2 Mixing bowls
Mixer
Bread pan (Local Dollar Tree ones are the ones I've used but you can get them at Walmart as well)
Cling wrap
Extra bowl for left over ingredients

Ice Cream Ingredients
1 14 oz can of sweet condensed milk
1 16oz carton of heavy whipping cream (leave in refrigerator until needed. This needs to be cold when mixing the vanilla mixture)
2 tbs vanilla extract
2 tbs of bourbon (optional)

If you want just regular vanilla ice cream you can stop it there. If you want any other ingredients such as brownies, chocolate chips, cookies, etc... you can add that.
If you want chocolate ice cream just replace vanilla extract for chocolate extract and add chocolate cocoa powder to the chocolate mixture.

Add everything except heavy whipping cream mix, and set aside.
Pour the heavy whipping cream in the other bowl and mix until it becomes a cool whip consistency. Be careful as to not blend it too much because you'll get butter instead. If you're not sure about the cool whip consistency blend the heavy whipping cream first for 3 minutes. If it's not how you want blend for a minute each time until you're satisfied with the consistency.

Fold the vanilla mixture into the heavy whipping cream. Don't stir because the whipping cream will become thinner and you may have to blend it again.
Once everything is mixed you can now either just pour the mixture in the pan and place it in the freezer or you can add your favorite toppings and then place in the freezer.
Leave in the freezer for 4-6 hours or over night.

If I missed anything feel free to ask if you want to try this. I will turn my Google+ on and answer any questions.
