I've been talking about How I've been feeling alone then God brought me to the Book of Matthew again. I am afraid of the steps I have to make same as Moses, but this book encouraged me so much. It felt like I was in the same situation as Moses then reminded that I am not alone, He will go before me, He will never leave me.

Until now, Israel is still hardened heart. Some still don't accept Jesus even knowing that Jesus is Jew. Still pride up to today.. I'm sorry, but it's annoying to know Israel on war.. annoying to see beautiful and handsome Israelites walking with guns. So distracting and odd to see..

A 33y M born in a hindu family here. Today I accepted Christianity after having a genuine dream/vision of christ guiding me to light. I was an atheist since I was 17 years old and today I can feel the presence of god in me and the people around me. Why be on the other side complain and worry about the mishaps in the world while accepting the lord's word and living his way shall which by itself heal the whole world through service, compassion, devotion and prayer.

I really enjoyed this until the very end. It leaves out that in order to apply Jesus death to ourselves we need to accept His substitutionary death on our part, our personal sin, not just follow His teachings and be baptized. It leaves the person thinking they could still earn salvation be doing those things. :(

Believe it or not, our country - America - was based on this "upside down" structure... where everyone is a priest/king and they choose one (or a few) from among themselves to represent them to the rest of the world. The power is in the people - each priest/king or priestess/queen... and those we choose are supposed to serve us... protecting that which we received from God - our inheritance by virtue of being born into this world. No other country did this... but unfortunately, everything got twisted. I sure hope America can be resurrected... but it appears that things will get much worse before Christ comes again to straighten it all out.

I think the way you divide Matthew doesn't make any sense (unlike most other Bible books which you did a great job on). The role as Messiah is introduced in chapter 16, not 14.

Any light on the saints who also resurrected and went into the holy city? Not mentioed in thw other 3 gospels. Its a pretty epic thing to happen and then not have any more info on it.

Thank you for being clear that the Jews killed Jesus Christ. A lot of people nowadays, especially given the current situation in Israel, are afraid to say The Thing. It seems as though, in the most basic sense, Jesus introduced the idea of moral universalism versus moral particularism. Because Judaism is based on blood lineage and moral particularism (different standards for how you treat fellow Jews versus non-Jews), it is doomed to an eternity of war, expulsion, and hostility. Christ created the idea of humanism- that there is a basic value to all human life, but it is up to the individual to earn their salvation. No such doctrine exists in The Talmud or The Old Testament.

Do you really need to be baptized?

I have to say that it is very nice to help us understand but, there are parts like the last supper in which the bible never says that and never supposes the idea of the bread and wine being a symbol, in fact people got away from Jesus because of this claim; only those who eat Jesus's flesh and drink his blood will have eternal life. Jesus, said it 3 times to reiterate the severity of not doing so. Now, this has divided the Christian Church but, what are we suppose to do then? listen to Jesus or assume a symbol?
