Is this plant born in climates around 27 ° C?

Milkweed also has a white sap and is a fantastic vegetable.

Store bought head lettuce will produce a milky sap from the stem, if cut, and it tastes awful !

What is the difference between these and wild lettuce?

After a normal lettuce plant matures, it also has white sap. So, when aphids attack a mature lettuce plant, they will be all glued up. And you have so many aphids because you don't have enough lady bugs or spiders in your yard. Don't mow your lawn too often so there is some shade for these beneficial insects!

I always thought this was wild lettuce, but now I'm glad I finally identified the plant around my house as Sow Thistle. I heard its also called Poor Man's Coffee because you can chop up the root, roast it, grind it and brew it like coffee.
