nawwww the abc new reporter spoke too soon
ОтветитьI wonder if they had time to do a go around when they couldnt figure out which runway to land on? maybe not
Ответитьevery time u get on a plane, u are putting your life in the hands of some random strangers. I see this, and i think these pilots suck ass... how can you touch ground like that with all the instruments they have? fuckin guys, they think they are so cool always...
ОтветитьHolly shit people survived? Damn
ОтветитьIf the truck wasn't there it would have been a simple go around. Or if the pilots had clarified the runway with ACT.... An accident which could have been avoided easily.
ОтветитьWhy do you put your voice? Ruined the video
ОтветитьFact, bc I can’t call anything about a plane crash ,,a fun fact”: The plane of Western Airlines hit the building of Eastern Airlines
ОтветитьHow do you have the cvr?
ОтветитьHearing that bloke scream made me choke up a bit, what an absolute tragedy.
ОтветитьMe too.
ОтветитьHaha Charly get it up 🎉
ОтветитьCharlie cant get it up.
ОтветитьCharly get it up hahaha
Ответить"el tecolote" cantó y murió
ОтветитьGOD DAMNIT CHARLIE GET IT UP
ОтветитьHearing the Captain cry in sheer terror is gut wrenching. The F/O really wanted to try to recover but the Captain knew what the deal was. Literally moments after he realized he was on the wrong approach, he was staring death in the face and reacted accordingly. I don’t blame him.
ОтветитьThe lack of urgency when they realised that it was the wrong runway they were landing on is astounding
ОтветитьWhy did you put a video of Janitzio when mentioning Mexico City?
ОтветитьI much preferred NOT having the voice over……please go back to captions….
ОтветитьNo nais
ОтветитьNever fly on DC-10's and never fly in third world countries. End of story.
ОтветитьAs an outsider to the air industry, it strikes that it would be far safer to never use the line up of a closed runway, do away with sidestep approach altogether. Line up on the only intended runway by whatever is normal practice for that runway. How about red lights placed at each end of closed runways too, as a last resort back up. 🇬🇧
ОтветитьI was working on a crew repaving the runway here in my hometown of fairbanks alaska. We had a 737 come to land on our runway, the visibility was very low and the whole crew, the paving crew, about 5 teamsters in trucks and about 4 other operators, me in a scraper, all stopped and looked up as this 737 was right above us with his landing gear down. I could hear as the pilot went full throttle and performed a go-around. He came back around and landed on the taxiway which is where all the planes landed and took off while we resurfaced the runway. It shut the whole paving project down for a day, and shut the whole airport down. This happened in 2008. I always wondered what happened to the pilot of atc. It was a big fuck up and wouldnt doubt if someone got fired.
ОтветитьOnly thing I don't understand is you stated the final impact happened 26 seconds after the touchdown. The CVR would suggest it was more like 10 seconds
ОтветитьThis is why we as pilots can never get complacent during takeoffs and landings. Poor Charlie and the FO made one little error and people died. So sad. There are checks and rechecks and balances for a reason. Flight 255 out of Detroit did not go through preflight checklist, pilots did not notice flaps were not set until it was too late.
ОтветитьAs you can imagine the landing gear on the right side is not open and that's why there was a truck, it was fatal but I love you all.
ОтветитьEveryone feels bad for the pilots and everyone, but what about that poor truck driver who got hit?
I’d probably be rolling in my sleep every night thinking about the fact that I survived that (if I was the truck driver).
How Come They Did Not See The Truck?
Ответить😳
ОтветитьMy friend lost both his parents, they did not find them for 3 days....they returned the belongings in filth to children
ОтветитьVery sorry for the loss of your father.
ОтветитьWhat a disgrace they scream from the intensity of pain
ОтветитьFinally some narration, I hate having to read lol. Barely like watching movies if they have subtitles, better be a damn good movie for me to sit there and read for hours.
More of this please. Good job!
I´ve not seen such a sad story for a long time. God be with your dad Tom, and your family.
ОтветитьEverybody died on this flight because the Captain & his crew didn’t execute a go around after not seeing the runway!
You can’t blame the plane for that!
Bad cockpit awareness and the Captain should have executed a go around if he couldn’t see the runway….sad 😢
ОтветитьBad deal cussing God 30 seconds before you die
ОтветитьThe one main thing i have learned from each and every one of these crash video's, is that the airline industry as a whole is a joke. From the manufacturers not giving a damn about anything except money to the tower personnel not properly giving out information needed to get these planes on and off the ground to the pilots talking about bullshit or trying to sound cool on the radio to the airports not marking everything correctly so pilots don't have to try to guess about what the hell is going on at taxiways and runways. It's like nobody is trying to think about this or that , which could cause a crash or cause confusion that could led to one as shown here. Hell even the damn mechanics make stupid mistakes that has taken so many lives. I have flown 5 or 6 times in my life and i always let my family know that i love them and pray to god someone doesn't do something stupid. If i can drive to my destination in 24 hours or less i drive. Because the last thing i want to see in my life is the inside of an aircraft thats disintegrating with me along with it. 99% of all crashes could have been avoided by people using common sense. It seems to be a hard commodity to come by. God bless everyone that has had to die due to stupidity.
ОтветитьInteresting that of the three DC-10 crashes in 1979 , NONE of the crashes were the fault of the aircraft. THe chicago crash was the result of lazy and sloppy maintenance procedures from AA employees. THis captain sounds like a complete jackassed prick.
ОтветитьThere's no excuse for this kind of tragedy to happen, absolutely NO EXCUSE
ОтветитьIt baffles me that airports don't due what the freeway does for truckers when their rig is out of control due to mechanical failure (usually this is the brakes glassing over and unable to slow the truck) and that is off ramps full of sand to slow the truck down to a stop. It would make sense after each runway to have a section of sand that the airplane can further go if the runway isn't long enough for their dissent. Anyways I always knew of the problems with mechanical repairs and cutting corners and people not replacing components correctly which seems to be the cause of about 75% of airplane accidents. The lie that the airline industry is so safe will be broken with more exposure like these videos. The odds of surviving a plane crash are extremely low and way too many things can happen to cause a plane to crash (bad pilots, extremely rare instrument failure combinations, bird strikes, bad repairs, bad maintenance workers, cost cutting measures, bad ATC guidance, mechanical failure, electrical failure, etc.). Yeah those of us that won't fly are just stupid because flying is so safe. My ass it is.
ОтветитьTHE COMMON THREAD OF ANNY GO-ROUND== TROUBLE...NOOO BUENO MY STRONG BELIEF '''JUST PUT THE FUKIN PLANE DOWN....I DONT CARE IF ITS ON THE WRONG RUNWAY AS FOR FUKIN TRUCKS OUT THERE GET THE HELL OUTTA WAY .90% G0-ROUNDS END UP A BIGGER NITEMARE
Ответить
