I can't watch Luke take off Vader's mask without thinking of Hooper X from Chasing Amy. Well worth the watch if you haven't seen it. The Hooper X scene is my favorite in all cinema.

The emporer is super evil and arrogant and he was sure he'd won. Why kill Luke quickly when you can have some fun with torture first?

Thanks for such fun reactions. George Lucas thought Star Wars was going to bomb & didn’t have plans to make more— everyone was surprised by how it took off. I love the original 3 cuz I saw them in theaters & grew up as a kid with these characters. & you are right, seeing Christian haydensen as Vader in the end was cheating & proof Lucas went overboard when he ‘restored’ the originals. Find the original cut of this film & the ‘force ghost’ Vader in the end is old man Vader as he would have really aged. Thanks!!!

Liea only kissed luke on the lips once when she was trying to make Han jealous. At that time neither of them knew there was any relation. The force is a bit like forsight and telekinesis as luke grew stringer with the force he was able to figure out once he knew she existed. All other kisses were on the cheek etc.

Many lucky things can be attributed to the force and the forsight that lets them parry blaster bolts and have crazy driving skills and many other things, seeing a bit into the future.

That face for vader was the actor who played him the whole time in the suit, they just ised james earl jones voice. In fact when the actors filmed empire strikes back, the line i am yoyr father was added afterward, even mark Hamill didnt know until it showed in theaters

the "sith lightening" that the Emporer was using on Luke is extremely deadly to mechanical things...like Vader. Vader's suit was designed by the Emperor to make Vader be weaker to things like force lightening....so if he ever tried to kill the Emperor, he already knew his weakness. It was also designed to be extremely painful and thus keep Vader in pain and in a deep connection with the dark side of the force. For a guy that lost like 70% of his body, he was still very powerful and took out many powerful Jedi.

Actually, back in the day a lot of fans were pissed that little Teddy Bears bet the Empire. I was fine with it a made and Ewok costume for Halloween that Fall of 1984. There were actually 2 stand alone Ewok made for TV movies back in mid 80s. The was Ewok’s Caravan of Courage and Ewok’s Battle of Endor. They both had mixed reviews and I remember being kind of disappointed by them as a kid. The Ewok animated tv series on Saturday mornings was better received, it was like The Smurfs, but with Ewoks. 😆

Luke was on the brink of the darkside through out the film, force choking the gamorrean guard is a good indicator, but luckily he sees himself slipping to the darkside and decides to copmbe back to the light side of the force when he refuses to kill Anakin/Darthvader.

David Prowse (RIP) who was the physical person in the suit is from Bristol in the UK and you wouldn't understand his accent at all , so they had James Earl Jones voice him. Sebastin Shaw was the actor you saw under the mask.

I love how you expected African actor, James Earl Jones to physically play Darth Vader, the father of the blond-haired, blue-eyed Luke Skywalker. This isn't a Netflix adaptation. 🤣

Ya I don't know why this was entertaining but I watched you watch the entire thing. Glad you like it and gained an interest in space too. Welcome. FYI you don't have to watch the newest 3. I did NOT watch Rise of Skywalker. My 1st memories was THIS in theater with my Ewok toy in hand, the gray one, which I lost at a bday party. So sad. Read all the lead up to episode one, watched the re-release of all 3 in theaters right b4. Then wait hours in line for ep 3. I sat there when credits rolled and wanted to cry( it was made my Lucas himself) but it was not great. Watched the 2nd then 3rd each time still disappointed. Still haven't gone passed season 1 of clone wars cuz I couldn't stand Anikins character, how could I invest time in a series focusing around a character I didn't like! But that introduced Ashoka. New enough about her to lead into REBELS, cartoon yes but equally as bad ass as the movies! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ASHOKA season one was pretty ok watch ONLY after some clone wars(disney+ has ashoka only episodes so u don't have to watch all) and DEFINITELY AFTER "Rebels!" As a side note Andor is the most amazing show... u forget it star wars but its so good it stands on its own to be broken apart and analyzed in story classes. that's it all u need to watch. Everything else is the worst dog crap you'll ever see! That said when I saw Hayden in Ashoka(sorry spoiler) I got emotional. So I guess I did like something of the prequels. Good luck. I love how in the last one you were like "Yeah, everyone knows Vader is Luke's father. Hard to get away from that." When the next biggest thing is that Luke and Leia are twins lmao.

The way I see it, Luke coming back was the final test that gave Yoda the reassurance the future of the Jedi were in good hands, and he could succumb to death peacefully, as he'd been dying for some time.

RETURN OF THE JEDI ... the best of the original 3, who dies? Jabba, Bobba Fett, Yoda, The Emperor & Vader ... a space battle, light saber battle and the battle on Endor ... simultaneous! Another death star destroyed by Lando oh and peak Luke Jedi ... simply the best of the lot to conclude an amazing trilogy that got better with each movie, no others compare .... and the Princess in the skimpy bikini just to add something extra for the boys 😅

If you want more Ewoks you need to watch the Ewok movies they were called The Caravan of Courage and The battle of Endor

I appreciate your comments asking about what it was like to see these originally in theaters. When these came out. you couldn't watch them on demand; once they were out of the theaters, you just had to wait. wait. wait. wait. For the next one. If there would be a next one. I spent three weeks allowance money to buy the double vinyl soundtrack! I think many in my age range (mid-50s) like "Empire" because it was the first movie after the original. The build-up to its release was unimaginably anticipated. "A New Hope" could have been a stand-alone, one-and-done, but when you heard the second was coming - wow. And we waited years. "Empire" was great because it didn't have the expected feel-good ending. The downer meant that another was coming. 
"Return" was feel good IMO, but ultimately, because so many years elapsed among the original trilogy films, we have a different way of looking at them. I was 10 years old when I saw "New Hope", 13 at "Empire", 16 at "Return". Formative years in a boy's life and completely colors the way I view these.
I'm glad you have the ability to watch them one after the other. I could only have dreamt of world where that could happen!
