Thank you for your videos, Kallie. Love watching them and getting smart ideas.
Ответить1000%
ОтветитьPaper clutter can be scary to tackle but most of it is already dealt with, expired and can go in trash... or can go in a ln important folder.
ОтветитьThank you!!
I was feeling overwhelmed
Working on this system this week!!!
I use a small plastic zipper bag I bought from the Dollar Tree store to hold my receipts. I keep this bag in my car and put receipts I want to save in it right away. Then, I always have the receipts with me when I need them. 😎
Ответитьdo you have a current referral code for fetch?
ОтветитьCategories:
1. Toss it quick
2. Complete it as quick as you can (binder)
3. File it (your filing cabinet maybe in another room so you have a category for this - sometimes it’s tricky to know what you need to keep and what you can just throw away) Marie Kondo says get rid of most of all the paper.
4. think about it/time will tell. I’m going to hold onto this paper for as big as this basket is and then I will throw it away. I will delude myself into thinking I will do something with it, but I should’ve thrown it away in the beginning.
Great, but speaking too fast.
Ответить❤❤❤Easy implementation
ОтветитьI saved this video and watched " listened" to it many times. One night when I had time I listened to it and paused it several time while taking note and made an outline. Now I have a visual to reference. I have gone through my "long term- file it" papers and organized it all. It is a big weight off my shoulders. I have a Home Binder to categorize, the Complete Folder and File it Ben. I am thrilled to have this! Thank you for making the video!
ОтветитьNo option to turn on auto captions. Bye.
ОтветитьLol I'm not thirsty I've got plenty of liquids to keep me hydrated Manny money Gonzalez just saying
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьI love the think about it pile! It's always those tricky not-right-now not-super-important but not-throw-away papers that cause an issue!!!
ОтветитьHi.I have only just come across your channel...which is brilliant.I want to buy the wire paper organiser.Did you buy 3 separate ones please as Amazon do actually have them?
ОтветитьCan you add closed captioned? I'm deaf and would like to know what is being said in this video. Thanks.
ОтветитьSeems like you have a system, but you went through it too fast...
Ответитьit was great to see your presentation of your organization style. its simplicity is very refreshing and i took note of a few good ideas i liked. on a side note of video production, i recommend drinking half decaf coffee before you film. there were 5 points where I had to go back and re watch because sooooo much detail was presented sooooo fast i couldn't remember the first 3 things you talked about. i finally figured out i needed to slow the video down to 0.75 speed so i could hear your full presentation and comprehend your talking points. thank you for sharing your helpful information. it is helping me tackle a big project.
ОтветитьAnd yes. I multitask or do a cabinet watch a video do another cabinet watch a video. I also get encouragement by the videos as I declutter.
ОтветитьI take a permanent marker with me to the post office. Anything like junk mail I tear into tiny pieces and/or use the marker to mark through. Then I head to the house with mail. I have a shredder box and a bills box. I just started a magazine box which I keep for "waiting" times. Also have a "Goodwill" box in the trunk and I use "used" gift bags for book donations also in the car as I volunteer there weekly. I need to expand to this method. I think it would help. I have a kinda sorta system with dollar store containers but it could be fine tuned to her system.
ОтветитьDo you use that Fetch app to scan your screen for your Amazon "receipts"? Part of the time-suck with paper for me is shredding. No way am I just trashing/recycling my PII paperwork. Not in this day and age. I also try to use my shredding for my compost pile. I don't trust shredded paper to be recycled unless you put it in a separate bag.
ОтветитьLove the random scrunchie on the doorknob! lol I thought I was the only one 😂
ОтветитьFood for thought🥰🥰🥰The new year is days away. Why not go through old files and shred outdated statements and things that no longer serve you? Complete projects in the "will complete" folder. Really ask yourself do I really need this scrap of paper because it reminds me of/ might need it...someday. Start the new year out with only current statements. Many of us keep a lot of paperwork so we have what we need to save the day . Banking can be done on line and shredded statements can easily be replaced. Google what needs to be kept for taxes, receipts and important stuff. Do research on how long they need to be kept. Taxes is maybe 7 years. Some receipts are a few years and some documents are a never shred. I had documents of horrible memories and they no longer served me, but I was hanging onto a horrible chapter in my life. They had to go. It was emotional not administrative need.
Start the new year 2023 with a lighted load.
Thank you for the video and yes I watch these as I do housework. The one pile I have not mentioned is shred. I keep a shred pile so the act of shredding doesn't distract me. I also have time for second thought to think something through before it get destroyed; sort of "are you sure you want to delete this?" message. I really avoid the think about it pile, that pile will end up the tallest one.
My receipts don't get an immediate toss because I track my spending in a calendar binder. Every financial advice is to track spending to see where I am hemorrhaging money and where am self debting. I can see exactly where the money went.
I really make an effort decrease incoming papers: free community newspapers, magazines, hobbies, activities, and advertising. I resist the urge to bring this into my home. I make an effort to get off company lists. The worst offender for me is the personal writing. I am a writer and it is really tough to part with the blood, sweat and tears that went into writing the piece. I keep it in a three ring folder. I shredded several years of journals. I am not sure what I will do with the binders. I live in a 930 Sq ft home. I cant save everything.
I have mail and documents from 2007😢
ОтветитьKallie, thank you for sharing your system with us. I just subscribed early this morning. I have been overwhelmed by a cluttered desk in our kitchen and a small mountain of stuff in our living/dining area. Now, I can set up a vertical file like I had on the wall years ago. Looking forward to more of your older videos.
ОтветитьPaper clutter is my #1 problem in the house...I cant seem to have it under control...love your ideas..the binder is a great idea and the wall system too..!..Thank you for the video..very helpful!
ОтветитьI use a 2page a day planner. I copy by hand grocery & hardware store receipts (item, how many & cost). Good for future reference. [Is this a good sale price? Compare to last purchase]. Also keep health records so can tell doctor (have a watch that tracks time slept & exercises, steps, etc). I am 71 & have some heart problems. Also keep a list of things I need or want to buy later. My planner is always with me.
ОтветитьThank you so much. I have a file cabinet but I could never figure out how to get rid of initial piles and get everything into the files. I needed the middle step of your system, because the piles just overwhelm. Breaking it down, like you showed, is so helpful. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьLOVE THIS!!! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьDid you get your binder from bloom daily planners? Love them!
Ответитьwhat about paper bags from grocery store? or store weekely/monthly offers leaflet??
Ответитьwhat about grocery lists that keep piling and you don't know which one is new and ehich ones are old? and all sorts of post its with all sorts of differebnt info?
ОтветитьWhat is the third file in your complete it section? You mentioned bills and to do but I didn’t hear the third one. Thanks!
ОтветитьTaking up your advice, thank you for sharing 🥳
ОтветитьGood system
ОтветитьWhat’s the referral code?
ОтветитьOne thing you did not discuss (unless I missed it) was paper that needs to be shredded. I have gone paperless on as many things as I can and signed up for the "do not send" on the credit offers but I still get that stuff. I'm not comfortable just throwing it in the trash. I have a shredder bin and a grandson who loves to shred my papers.
ОтветитьLove your videos! 💚 Im using an accordion file notebook that fits above my fridge. I'm using your method for each section. I love it! I can just grab the book if I need it on the go / different location like the doctors, school, or grocery store.
ОтветитьThanks for this! Do you have any thoughts on sentimental paper? I have a really hard time chucking anything personal - a card, a note, etc.
ОтветитьOmg you have already lost me!! Nerve racking!!!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat motivational video, as always. I really enjoy your tips. One thing is driving me crazy, though. I seem to fixate on your necklace and try to figure out what the A's stand for! LOL
ОтветитьBetter and simpler to get a good scanner. Pretty much eliminates paper
ОтветитьAfter my husband died, I just piled paper. Now I am better able to deal with it. Obviously, there are only a few things of his I need to keep, and I have those taken care of. But I have tons of sensitive papers I need to dispose. My shredder couldnʼt handle even an 8th of it. When I had a fireplace, it was easy. When I had a charcoal grill, it was easy. I don’t have those any more. Any suggestions on how to dispose of all this paper? I called a shredding company and and cannot afford it. Ideas? These are things like his medical records, etc. Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьOrganize 365’s Sunday Basket is the cure for ALL MY PAPER WOES🥳🥰
ОтветитьEvery time I sit down to clean up paperwork I find myself wasting time with some things "I want to think about" Charity donations, political surveys, offers for services that I may soon be in the market for, etc. Now I will have a "think about it" file. That is brilliant!!! Thank you so much, I'm sure that's where I waste the most time is trying to decide what to do with some things that come in the mail because I want to "think about it" for a day or two.
ОтветитьI love your system, but if I put my bills in a pretty folder they'd be out of sight, out of mind and never get paid. How does your husband remember to pay them?
ОтветитьAs a teacher, I find the paper accumulation overwhelming!! One reason is being without a proper office with drawers and file drawers - only flat surfaces! Gah!!!! I’m going to look up “organizing teachers papers” 🤭
Ответитьwonderful! thanks so much for sharing. How do you take care of privacy issue with names on your mails or magazines before tossing?
