I heard yesterday 29.11.24 that there's Chernobyl like levels of radiation now and apparently deadly toxic chemicals in the soil. I reckon that's how they're going to spin it portray it that the good people of NC will be made move off their land for their own safety. Then they will go in and mine all the lithium get the trillions of dollars destroy the land mountains waterways leave it baron ever more uninhabitable in future. It's a big scam IMO So the question is did "they" manipulate a storm guide it towards the Appalachian mountains to cause all that? or was that just another coincidence making it really convenient for the mines owners/share holders? I don't think her meteorologist kin isn't looking at that quite right. I've personally seen tornado and microburst damage from many hurricanes here in Florida. Those trees snapped off and twisted as well as the forest being intact next to the path are text book tornadoes. They just had more than one down the same path. I have identical damage at my cabin in western Mitchell County. The forest looks link a collapsed Jenji puzzle on one side of the road. On the other ridge there is very little damage.

This whole drumbeat of "no one could imagine what was going to happen" and "it all came out of nowhere" has really got to stop. The NHC was saying from 3-4 days out that all of southern Appalachia was at very high risk (70%+) of flash floods over multiple days of the storm with staggeringly high 24 hr rainfall estimates from the weather models predicted.

Yes, the damage there was devastating, and I feel for the people that lost so much and the lives lost. But this did not come without warning, just tons of people in the US refuse to listen to experts on anything anymore.
