I read all three books, and they can’t all be about the same island.

Treasure Island is set in the Caribbean Sea, not the South Pacific. The treasure is also man-made gold doubloons, not natural volcanic gold.

The movie also makes it sound like Gulliver’s Travels is about only one island. It’s about multiple islands, none of which were anything like The Mysterious Island.

I still think it’s an interesting way to encourage kids to read.

I love this scene. A father figure comes in different shapes and sizes and sometimes cannot be what you might expect. The two of them solving puzzles and breaking codes together was genius!
