Audio Technica ATH-M70X Review!

It is completely unacceptable that they charge 300 bucks for these and they only use plastic parts at that price point they should be built of titanium.

Isn't there just a little bit of bias in this video because I have seen a graph on rtings that shows that the mids and trebles are a bit uneven and that it lacks low bass and the ATH-M50's are more neutral than that red line even more neutral than the ATH-M70's. Also, the soundstage is going to sound closed off and less natural sounding.

Damn i want that kind of bag for my m40x! 😍😍😍 i am not a huge fan of the m40x's collapsible build.

id argue that closed backs are better for both listening and producing when you dont have a special listening room. Ive had both open and closed back headphones and in my room not hearing the neighbors shouting, birds tweeting, trucks driving by etc does much more for the audio quality than being open back does.

M50s are glorified Beats

Would you say that these isolate ambient sound better or worse than the M50x?

The m40xs are still my favorite headphones L0L. The M70Xs have a slight weird tinny sound from sound demos I have heard. The m40xs are accurate af I'd say and I like that for listening to music and mixing/making music.

But doesnt the M70x have the same frequency than the M40x ? I see people praising the M40s more than the M50s specially cause they are flatter and better for music production.

the M70xs are fantastic and very neutral. exceptional for audio engineers.
HOWEVER--do be warned that they break easily. especially the swivel hinges. you will have to baby them.
Not recommended as daily drivers for everything. more for serious audio work.
But the sound is impeccable and they are very comfy

Don’t believe in burning in headphones? The sound changes drastically when burning in a pair of headphones/speakers.

These REALLY pissed me off! WHY IS THE BASS SO FUCKING RECESSED!!! They would've been PERFECT if the bass wasn't recessed! The M50's are WAY better in that regard! I get it that they're flat, but you what? So are a LOT of other professional headphones and the bass isn't recessed!

Great review as always :D. Funny enough the very first video I saw from you was the 50 version of the headphones which was happy. But seeing this I think I'll get the 70 for more of videos works and other VA projects:)
