Painting a loose painting is not just a technique or style, it's really about having a good grasp on visual language. Is today's video offers you some clarity? ☺
ОтветитьVery very educational!!! I'm a beginner struggling in how much detail I should keep when sketching, but when you said "you don't need to draw everything to tell audience it's a car", you open a window for me! Thank you very much!!!
ОтветитьThis is the type of painting I’d like to achieve because this kind of brings me a nostalgic feeling
ОтветитьThe watercolor part is nicely done. But if you compare the structure of the cylindrical part of the building and its dome it does not fit. It looks like a different building with different proportions.
Ответитьthanks so much! Very helpful and changes the way I think about painting an communicating a scene..you are a ver good teacher as well
ОтветитьI love how you describe this topic. I can see how intentional you are about each stroke. Very inspirational!
ОтветитьBeautiful and satisfying to watch
ОтветитьThank you. Excellent demonstration of the technique and philosophy of the loose painting process.
Ответитьwonderful demo. Thanks for sharing your valuable insights on loosening up to paint! :)
ОтветитьThis was seriously helpful! I've been trying to loosen up my painting but having the worst time! One guy I've been watching strikes me as really sloppy but he seemed sure it was the right way to paint loose. A lot of people like it but I don't. Your explanation of visual communication makes sense to me so I'm now tackling a very intimidating piece I've been trying off and on for months, with much more confidence. Thank you. 💛
Ответитьmy problem is that may paper and watercolor puddle dries mega fast... it's so frustrating
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. thank you.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьI love your explanations,,,and bite the bullet and do it!!
ОтветитьThank you as your lesson was helpful Janelle, Australia
ОтветитьEric, this is the best video, I felt, about loose painting. Also, I like the structure of your video - starting with outlining key points, followed by example(s) of short painting, then a demo. Thank you very much!
ОтветитьThank you, your teaching and demos are very appreciated and wonderful helps so I can grow in this!

ОтветитьThanks a lot mate! I was following your channel for a while and few months back everything just clicked; when i pushed to practice, of course😅 I was like learning bicycle riding! One tries and tries and all of a sudden one knows how to ride. Thanks again mate!☺ You're an excellent teacher!
ОтветитьI am so glad that I have found your videos. I really like your style of painting and also appreciate your narrative. ОтветитьThis is very informative. Thank you!
ОтветитьI love this style, Eric. Brilliantly explained and demonstrated! I am a brain- language nerd so I really appreciated your break-down of the process. You really de-mystified everything. This video has given me a ton of confidence as to how to approach any apparently complicated subject! Thank you so much. I have just discovered your work. It's the style I love (and would like to aim towards). I will be recommending your videos to my Mam and a friend. Heartfelt compliments and warm regards. Georgina, Ireland
ОтветитьLike a master artist you have discussed most important points to remember in a loose painting. Very useful lesson. Thank a lot for sharing.
ОтветитьThank you for such an interesting and helpful lesson. I can't wait to try out your suggestions. I love the way you paint.
ОтветитьHelped me so much to see the close up tip of your brush, either out on the very tip or more toward the belly. So delicate. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for this video you have answered so many questions for me. I will certainly watch more of your channel.

ОтветитьImpressionism?
ОтветитьAnother tip: Try to make it look like the buildings aren't falling down.
ОтветитьThanks ever so much for sharing your talents. It is difficult to decide what to leave out, vs what to paint.
ОтветитьSo what I got from this is to squint ur eyes and cancel out the unnecessary details.........so squinting ur eyes.....is....key. May be that's why u're so good at it................I'll leave now. Great tutorial.thx for the help.
ОтветитьOMG OMG ...!
ОтветитьIt was very helpful and enjoyed your work
ОтветитьBeautifully explained! Thanks
ОтветитьYour video help me to understand a lot of things I was not getting right in my loose brush strokes. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьAs they say......'everybody is a critic'. My preference would be much more bright, vivid colors. Excellent work, and your verbal presentation is quite exceptional. Thank you.
ОтветитьThank you, I like the way you explain everything.
ОтветитьLove this. :)
ОтветитьUn des meilleurs tutoriels que j'ai regardé. Le modèle (photo) toujours présent, les zooms sur les détails et des commentaires de grande qualité. Merci Eric.
