Gun Shot Wound: A Trauma Surgeon's Grim Reality | ENDEVR Documentary

We follow Dr. Goldberg on a busy Friday evening in the trauma center. In the space of 12 hours, she’ll treat three gunshot victims and perform emergency life-saving surgery on one of them. And since 80% of gunshot victims survive in Philadelphia, Gun Shot Wound gives an authentic look at the daunting process of rehab and often permanent disability.

Meanwhile, Dr. Joseph Sakran shares his day-to-day experience treating gunshot victims in Baltimore and introduces viewers to Brandon Fisher. Brandon arrived at the trauma bay nearly dead with 13 bullet wounds and injuries in almost every cavity in his body. It took a multi-disciplinary team of surgeons and more than 15 surgeries for Brandon to recover.

I can't imagine what goes through that old man's head who shot that guy when he was a kid. What has to go through your head to think that shooting a CHILD with a sawed off shotgun is a good idea just because you're annoyed that they're happy. You don't have the right to take out your pain and anger on others

These are the type of documentaries that should be forced to be watched in Schools, very impactful

A totally desensitised society

Very moving insight into the reality of gun violence.
The NRA are just like a tobacco or big pharma company. They will do and say anything to deflect responsibility and discredit those that oppose their agenda. The fact that they are essentially protected by the government is abhorrent. The insanity is so blatantly obvious but when your government doesn’t care about its citizens it will continue over and over again.

Can’t imagine any other country making a medical documentary where the doctors and medical staff talk like they’re reading a Hollywood script and not like they’ve dedicated their whole lives to medicine. They sound medically illiterate while obviously not being so.

This is very accurate working in trauma center they speak so calm fast yet slow and clear and I think it’s crazy …..

Most countries hve the same illness guns & drugs.

One thing that people do not realise is that this problem is not about gun violence, but PEOPLE violence. A gun will not kill or injure anybody unless a person is holding that gun. We need to get to the people that are causing this violence if we want to stop it.

guns dont kill people Dr, people kill people. If guns killed people, why not just send the guns to war and leave the people who operate them stateside?

The bigger issue has more to do with mental health IMO.
