You are really missing the point. I can't stand the Klipsch's horns. They grate my ears.

And now we have Klipsch The Sevens and The Nines to contend with.

Do the Fives still suffer from the mandatory firmware update that is apparently an absolute nightmare to deal with? Something about EQ/Bass functions won't work correctly with out the update? Can anyone confirm? From my understanding Crutchfield won't sell these anymore because of these issues cause so many headaches

At the end I didn't even Care about the speekers, just was enjoying both of you speaking, grate energy and clean interaction. I'm still confused what should I get to our babygirls small room so we can listen to quality sound together 😅

Read today that the fabric on the Klipsch grill is apparently some type of thermoplastic that shrinks when heated. To self-tighten you could run a hairdryer evenly over it to tighten again, but do NOT use a heatgun. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm glad you reviewed them in stereo pairs. Too many reviewers subjectively evaluate only a single speaker and I ask... was I absent for some "back to mono" movement?

I'm looking for a pair of desk speakers that can be used for audio mixing, music listening and also watching movies. These Mission speakers look amazing! Do they have any preset EQ modes within the DAC hub? Flat, music, movie etc? If so, this would be a game changer for me and exactly what I'm looking for. I better get saving, they're £750 here in the UK.

When reviewing these five powered speakers, did any of them have a low level Hess when powered on?

Andrew or Kristi, I believe at one time you had a pair of the Kanto Yu2's connected to an iMac early on in this channel's history. In your opinion (or to the best of your recollection) would you be able to compare the Yu6's albeit with a bigger sound in comparison to the Yu2's? I have the Yu2's hooked up to my work Mac and really love the sound, but am looking for an upgrade on my gaming PC.

I found it a bit confusing how you kept switching between the product name and brand name, like on the Klipsch. You’d call them the Fives one minute and then Klipsch the next.

I totally agree with you Andrew with the Klipsch grills. I bought a pair and they looked like the skin of an octogenarian, saggy and wrinkled. I probably got a B-stock pair from Costco because the sound was just as nice as the grills. I am so glad Costco let me return them. I currently have two home theatre systems set up in my home with Klipsch speakers and love their sound, but obviously I got a bad sounding pair of 5's with crappy grills. This experience does not diminish my enthusiasm for the Klipsch(s) that I have, but leads me to suspect the quality control of the 5's.

Hi Andrew was just looking at this again. I still think the fives from klipsch is the overall gem. I’ve been playing my own Fives speakers rather loud (just about six notches below full volume) with mostly heavy rock music and bass-heavy reggae music. And they perform flawlessly still and the grills don’t warp. I now own three pairs of the Fives to fill most of the essential areas in my house. They are just f***** awesome!

had the opportuntiy to listen to the fives and personally i was surprised by the output and bass for their size. would love to see you guys review the 7's and the new 9's

the KEF lsx on a desk top would be completely over the top - get them on stands in a smallish room and they are mega.

How does these KEF powered speakers compared to an amp+passive such as B&W 607 S2? at the same price range? (1500 USD)

Im still using my 10yo polk hamptons. Built in usb 192khz dac, bt, analogue. Sound great. Would be fun to set these up against the newer speakers.

I was in the market for wireless stereo speaker for open conecpt living room. Main streaming source was TV blutooth and Sonos did not work nor edifier. DIY ing speaker using galaxy budz was a option but too much work.
From this review, I have discovered LX Connect and scored new one at 900CAD. I don't know how hifi speaker pricing works or overpriced but good deal. 2000cad vs 900cad

So here is the question, the middle piece LX Connect hub has one RCA output additional for a speaker or external source. If I were to add Subwoofer, what do you recommend? same brand mission sub-200? or different brand sub? What other speaker would you add to the hub if other than sub speaker.

Your video is information overload and clean. usually people talk forever in the video and lose quality of the video but you are exceptional.

Very nice comparison (and not only the technical stats)!

I own a pair of Elac Connex and have to say that the craftmanship is much better than described in your review. Not only is the housing well made, even the grilles look sophisticated when you pull them off. The remote is by no means cheap (very clicky buttons!! 👍) but is a little too light in my opinion.

What the reviewer meant could be that those speakers look relatvely boring compared to the other.

The flexibility is great (you can even adjust left/right side for the master speaker). And the XBass feature is not just a gimmiky feature. You have to press the xbass button 2-3 sec to avtivate it. After that you can choose between 2 settings by normally pressing the xbass button. When your connex stand free you can activate xbass for example.

Another great feature is that those boxes automatically turn on when you chose bluetooth over your smartphone or turn on your TV (even on optical out!). They also turn of when there is no connection.

To the sound: Those little powerhouses have a very linear full bodied non fatiguing sound that you can listen to them the whole day!

Their sound characteristics is much "bigger" than the small measurement would make us believe (!!!).

ps. other than on Elacs tech specs(!!!) those speakers have aptX HD !!! And the Elac Debut 10.2 subwoofer is on the way 😁

These speakers are still no match to the Airpulse A100

I am over 70 years old and would like to be able to listen to my CD collection. If I were to get the Klipsch Fives, with their more numerous connectivity options then the other powered speakers, what kind of a CD player could I get to connect to the Klipsch Fives?

Any way we can get a review of the Edifier S3000 Pro or comparison to this group?

For anything under $1000. I'd say get the Vantoo T1 Encores ($600). Had the YU6, Fluance ai60 and a few others around this price point. I think the Vantoo are the best bang for your buck. Better than the Kef LSX II imho. If you really wanna go Kef save up and get the more expensive LS50's.

Not sure how the Triangle LN01A doesn't make this grouping..Also the review seems mixed like it has an identity crisis putting speakers you clearly know aren't going to fill a room with sound and should be left to a desktop application. You should have done a separate video for each or created a Desktop category to be fair to those that are desktop speakers.

If I am going to add a Sub, how would the Fives (With a Sub) compare to the Missions (With a Sub).

I'm asking because I like The Fives. But after this video, and seeing that (In south Africa) I can get the Missions for the equivalent of $176 less than I can get the fives.

Considering that I'm looking at these for a living room and will add a Sub down the line... Are the Missions a no brainer? (I don't need phono by the way)
