Do you think the G-Man is an advisor that escaped The Combine?
ОтветитьLore of The Combine's Savage Leaders | The Combine Advisor | FULL Half-Life Lore momentum 100
ОтветитьHalf-Life 3 - April 1st, 2030
ОтветитьWho would guess that humanity would one day be invaded and enslaved so easily by cute space potato larvaes..
ОтветитьIdk why they bothered to kill eli and then retcon his death, when theyre probably not even gonna follow up and make another HL game anyway. As far as my personal canon, I don't really care about anything that wasnt written or planned by Marc Laidlaw
ОтветитьI'm curious are there baby versions of the advisor because I keep seeing this and I saw it in entropy zero 2
Ответить:)))
Ответитьhalf life alyx i think replaced e3
ОтветитьAdvisors are very similar to nihilant
ОтветитьThank you for the knowledge
ОтветитьIf Marc Laidlaw thinks he's Breen's biggest fan then he's clearly never heard of the breenmancer
ОтветитьEveryone is whining about the advisors maybe not being the leadership but that is exactly how they are portrayed in the game. They are given special importance and significane. We are shown their hatching pods being protected as if they are that important unlike any other creature. Maybe the lore will change and there will be a singular thing that rules the empire, but to anyone looking at the game for all intents and purposes the advisors are Combine leadership. Unless you have definitive proof they are not then you are speculating much more than anyone saying they are the leadership. At least those people are going off what is portrayed in game but you're going off pure speculation at best.
ОтветитьWatch at 1.5x speed. Thank me later!
Ответитьthey kind of look like grubs yeah
ОтветитьI guess Breen never heard of the Soma theory. Where you actually die with your body, and your copied conciousness is literally that. A Carbon Copy.
Ответитьwhy is that combine adiver looks diffrent on the screen on dr wallaces office?!!! that combie adviser has black eyes and that combine adivsers arm does not have fingers !?!? why does no one talks about this?!?!!?
ОтветитьRebels: our leader is Gordon Freeman
Headcrabs: our leader is our mother
Combines: our leader is a flying asthmatic potato
TL:DR
WHERE IS HALF LIFE 3???
Even the advisors are so modified the cant be considered biological. It's like the combine is this universal machine, consuming everything in their way to be part of the warmachine, infinitely growing as realities are brought under an iron fist. At some point it likely was a single species invading other realities, but at some point different species molded together and the Combine just lost it's leader species, whose ancestors became part of the machine they themselves built.
ОтветитьResistance Robot? Sector 17? Have you even played Half Life before or are you just reading a really bad wiki?
ОтветитьbreenGrub? good thing i stepped on everyone of those things (grubs)
ОтветитьWait Wallace is called Wallace breen
ОтветитьI feel that the combine isn't as powerful as they are shown to be. Maybe, it's a large race of technologically advanced humanoid aliens (We see Gary's grafitti showing some humanoid figures holding what seems to be "rifles"). But being humanoid aliens, they are vulnerable like humans in every way. They enslaved the shu'ulathoi to gain their telepathic abilities and are using them as telepathically controlled drones flying around earth. The advisors are actually combine administrative clerks doing their job on earth remotely. Their vast intergalactic empire might be at a point where they cannot sustain their growth anymore. There might be an internal crisis. The G-man and his "employers" might as well be aliens of that combine race, but simply from a different faction, opposed to the current leadership, doing everything they can to bring a revolution to their home by sabotaging their own empire's conquest.
ОтветитьIs it bad that I once again think we're getting almost exactly what epistle 3 shows in the next Half life game (HLX perhaps)? The Alyx retcon wasn't for nothing, so we know the story is going to move forward with them looking for the Borealis at some point
Ответитьhehe, potato people
Ответитьfrom what i heard on half life raising the bar the advisors were once human like but thru reliance on technology evolved to a slug like appearance super interesting
Ответитьthe "combine sympathizer" thread under your pinned comment made me creeped out as can possibly be
ОтветитьThe funny part is they empties earth of water, yet they could just go to europa and get two times the amount on earth. Or you know just explore space and get almost infinitely more. No need to savage worlds inhabited by sentient species and bonus point you dont accidentally stuble upon really angry aliens that may take exception to being invaded. Like like the equivalent to Specie 8472.
Ответитьthey controlled the earth in 7 hours but cannot defeat the resistence for years? that sounds kinda lame plot issue right there
ОтветитьSo if Gman is a hatched advisor, he could be working for the advisors who have escaped the combine?
ОтветитьIt looks so adorable, ever since I've seen it I just wanted to hug it.
ОтветитьHaving control over so many species and, potentially worlds, with such a grubulous form really gives an ominous ring to that biblical passage:"The meek shall inherit the Earth."😧
ОтветитьFat leader
Ответитьthe advisors can communicate telepathicaly and as I saw in these comments they probably aren't the actual leaders but what if the combine are partially hive-minded?
ОтветитьBean
ОтветитьSo what you’re telling me is the grubs made NFT’s
ОтветитьThe combine are getting Elites and Jackals from Halo next.
Ответить"Combine's most savage leaders"
Advisor: proceeds to roast Eli
*strider noises*
ОтветитьWe will never get hl3 :/
ОтветитьIt’s kinda funny how Gordon and Alyx would’ve had to deal with their own version of the Tiny Hitler hypothetical
ОтветитьThey always remind me of giant ticks
ОтветитьIf they are the leaders of the combine, that’s bad writing. The leaders would never put themselves in danger by going into the field. Therefor they’re likely just another weapon
Ответитьtalk louder
ОтветитьIts more like a floating potato
ОтветитьI assume this is already a theory, but might not "The Combine" simply be a conglomerate of malevolent A.I.? -that we were never going to find nor see what the big bosses really "look like", but instead only all of the physical modifications installed on the species they've historically parasitically invaded and "absorbed"?
It seems like it could explain why there's this sort of infinite regress of asking "who's REALLY in charge" in interpretations of the story, as in, "which species calls the shots all the way at the top..." but never really being able to pinpoint any clear answer. A runaway, malevolent A.I. might simply subsume any species it finds useful in the ways described here, and potentially subsume other A.I. it encounters in the cosmos (explaining the apparent pluracy of minds going on), but ultimately "The Combine" may have started simply as a mechanical mind (created with unintended consequences by something else(?)) with an eye towards controlling and dominating all of life, and certainly it somehow found the means to do it.
There is no ep 3 there is no hl 3, valve really can’t count to 3 AT ALL really pathetic
Ответитьwell it appears that the vauntigaunt energy that saved Eli was actually Alyx.
