The beauty of a Mustang is like no other aircraft I've ever seen.....
I truly enjoyed hearing the memories of those brave men who were privledged to fly them in combat.
God bless them all!
I know you didn't forget about all the snakes you told us about in your earlier adventures , yes it's cold now but the snakes go into hibernation in places just like you were in .Be careful and watch out for hibernating snakes , if you look far and hard you probably will come upon a sleepy snake , RATTLER ‼️🪱
Unfortunately, some pilots were looking for more kills than defending the B17s, unlike the Tuskegge pilots who did their job well and never lost a single B17 and spoke little about them.
How you talk about the p51 and not mention the Tuskegee airmen white washed
Our boys are kings of air then and now 💪💪💪💪💪⚡⚡⚡⚡🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Spitfire number 1
Ответитьwhy is he calling the fairway the rough
The P51 sucked until it was mated with the Merlin... When Packard started manufacturing the merlin under license, it was game-on. So many awesome fighter aircraft: spitfire, hurricane, p38, p47, and more... Each had a place. The greatest generation! Thank God for them all!
Little wonder it was called the cadilac of the sky with that quality Rolls Royce engine !! ✌️💯🇬🇧🇺🇲
WWII win by Soviet
Does anyone know when this video was made?
A beautiful bird.
If the world so-called leaders had any balls and backbone, they would have stopped Hitler before he got too powerful . Hitler was breaking all the rules put in place, and the coward leaders were afraid to confront him in fear of starting another war , Hitler had already started another war and the coward leaders of the world allowed this to happen but they and their children were very safe and didn't go to fight for their parents failures. They wanted our sons and daughters to go fight and die because of their coward notations , they are just as bad as Hitler.
P47 Thunderbolt had a greater "knockout punch" but the Army quickly saw you could have three P51 Mustang's for the price of one P47 "jug".
What a beautiful plane
They wanted to keep wood props in the beginning….
Thank heavens the British developed it for the usa.even named it when they had finished.
Ответитьafter watching this video the pilots the human element seem weak narcissistic as they talk about just wanting to kill for the sake of a tally or to beat the other guy. There is young man with mothers and fathers and a wife at home young men there killing but they're not mentioned. Another thing they get so engulfed with the toys the P 51 Mustang they'll do anything kill anything to fly the airplane.
P51 the result of the co-operation between the United Sates and the United Kingdom. Produced an unprecedented fighter of which its capabilities were somewhat overlooked. Richard Candelaria, just one of many kegacys of pilots, that shared its outstanding performance
As a kid born in 1971, and a father who was in the 126th Air Refueling Wing and enlisted from 1966-96! The first time I saw the P-51 at an open house event at O'hare Airport, that was my favorite airplane. To this day, I try to make it to every single air show near me, it's the one plane that I must see!
Ответитьthey were lucky and happy
Ответитьno wish to fight in the war but happy to make money from both sides .. laughable lol
It’s normal, the Americans always arrive after the battle! the war was already won when they landed....won by the Russians!
despite this, the Americans caused 190,000 French civilian deaths, because of their indiscriminate and above all unnecessary bombing.
I was an Huey 1,2 & 3 pilot and would have love to fly p-51. What a great ship it was. Thank you all for your service for us.
There's some creepy audio artifacts in this video. Not very nice listening to with headphones.
The P-51A had a Allison engine not an Anderson!
The key winning fighter was Hurricane (not Spitfire) during TBoB
And Juggernaut breaking the Luftwaffe's back at its peak, not the late P-51 licking the cream
Also, P-47 was the main sweeper, way more fit for this role and performing way more sorties
P47(N) was also the best long range escort fighter, sadly, they kept the P47 development in favour of P51 in this role at first
A big pity to P51H ultimate Mustang plane not for Korean Warfare!😮😮😮
Invincible? And who hasn't beaten him? Oh, yes! English Swordfish and Soviet U-2! This of course proves the power and omnipotence of this plane, which looks like a pregnant female cockroach!
When was this recorded? The interviews more specifically
Miałem przyjemność poznać kilku Polaków latających na P 51 . Chwalili ten samolot
How sad this is . I wonder how these people would feel about the country they fought for now.......
If the Alison engine had come with a double turbocharger like the RR engine the packard engine the P-51 used would never have been considered. They could have used the F-4U which had slightly shorter range, but had the engine of the P-47 and could kill even the best Japanese ground based airplanes. Without the tail hook the rage probably was the same.
Outstanding documentary. Oral history pilot interviews, cinematography, writing, all marvelous. I wonder though, for those VLR missions, if the P-51 had an autopilot.
I've known a man that was in the air crew of a bomber, I guess a pilot, he flew a little private plane and a helicopter, his name was Dink Deussen I seen all his photographs in his hanger, he always chewed on a cigar and said to the girls how you doing Blondie. What a brave man, all of these men. I just wish I could go thank him again!
En Français
I recently watched a YT video that claimed the P-47 was the greatest thing since sliced bread. This video claims that the P-51 won the war. What gives?
No matter how good the machine was or who made which part best, it was nothing without a well trained man inside, filled with confidence, courage & above all, competitiveness. The best fighter pilots hate losing. At anything.
All i can say is these are men, and thank you for my freedom.
