I really need help looking for a relatively inexpensive tech college that I can transfer to that won't bleed my or my parents' bank accounts. I'm already a senior, but I need to find the right school to transfer to!

Early 2023 when I was shopping around for a school I had applied to Purdue Global, Oregon State, and SNHU. Purdue quickly accepted me, however their reputation lacked behind the others and was more of a “diploma mill” as far as reputation from what I was understanding in the reviews. Oregon state was my second choice, however they played semantics on my credit transfers. I needed 24 transfer credits but they only accepted 20 of mine, a first year student needed a 3.0 in high school, I had a 2.9. I didn’t get in because of these standards. Snhu is where I’ve been the past year, and I have nothing but good things to say. I’m not a great student but I do put in solid effort. I have a 3.7 GPA over the past year and the classes haven’t been overly difficult. The rubrics are well laid out on how they grade so you know what to include in your writing to ensure you’re hitting all the major points (some instructors are tougher than others on this) and the information is accelerated so you get 12-16 weeks of info in 8 weeks. This makes a term 16 total weeks and a full time student takes 4 classes in that time (12 credits.) Unlike the other schools, SNHU gave me full military transcripts, honored every bit of my community college credits that I hadn’t taken in over 10 years, and I entered a 120 credit degree with 40 credits right off the bat. I highly recommend SNHU. Their discussions are all due Thursdays (replies to them by Sunday) and all assignments are due Sunday. So you have the whole week to plan and chip away at each assignment until the weekend. I’ll finish with my bachelors in data analytics in a little more than a year and I will have completed the entire degree in 2.5 years of actual class time.

For my military friends out there: use your Joint Service Transcript (JST) for evaluation. The more courses you complete through the military the better. All of these schools work well with pulling in military education because it's ACE certified stuff.

Edit: I'm a Grand Canyon University guy. I had a great experience with them and recommend them to all my fellow Soldiers and friends.

I was a legal assistant for many years when I was young and, more recently, a realtor for 12 years, then i moved to another state. I have no resume anymore (its too stale) and I'm 65 so getting meaningful employment without a degree is near impossible. I had to take retirement early just to survive, but survival is 11k a year. I've always wanted to finish my degree. I have some college credit. I have no future without a degree. no hope for anything better. I tried to get into a college in my state that had an ABA accredited paralegal program. I figured that and my experience could land me a good job ( Tho i had always dreamed of being an attorney). I couldn't afford it even with FAFSA and a Pell Grant. You have given me a glimmer of hope. Is it possible to use the Pell and fafsa for these schools? I wonder if it's too late to switch to a career in Health Services. Do you think that my age is a horrible detriment

Wanted to shout out for people who want to do IT. WGU also gives you about 2000$ worth of certificate exam vouchers for super competitive and standard IT certs. This is what pushed it over the edge for me personally. And I'm still doing about 45% of my degree through Sophia.

Great series of videos. I was unable to add the Discord invite, however, so I will ask my question here. I am working on my second Masters Degree (Purdue University Global). I would like to find a reasonable and inexpensive online PhD, next. I have a few CLEP exams, but also 20 years of US Navy experience. Does your consultation (very inexpensive, by the way) cover an online PhD? Thanks, Biff

Just found your channel and subscribed, enjoying your videos ! useful info man. However, none of these work for me per usual. I’m getting frustrated with the process and could use your help.

Here’s my dilemma.

I want to become a Nurse. I’m starting fresh(age 30) with NO credits and live in the Bay Area, California.

This seems to cause two major issues .

1) many schools don’t have a pre-licensure program (usually RN to BSN, MSN etc)

2)and the ones who do have a prelicensure program (like WGU) don’t operate in California.

I just KNOW there has to be a way to knock out my prerequisites as quickly as possible while being able to get into a nursing program.

WGU would have been IDEAL. Not only do they accept one StraighterLine, study etc but they also had a nursing pre-licensure program sadly it’s not for California residents.

I’ve been binging on your videos, and this seems to be the issue with most of the schools, either they don’t have a pre-licensure program, or if they do, it’s not for California.

Because nursing is a degree that you can’t really fast track once you’re in the program, I’m really looking to knock out my prerequisites as fast as possible with one of the big 5 sites. THIS is an absolutely must for me as it can save so much time bro

Would be really grateful for your help ! THANK YOU!!
I also joined your discord I believe!

From your research, what is best college in your opinion if you want to finish, considering these two factors; 1) The Quickest (as in self-paced, as many courses as you want can- ideally 6 months) 2) The cheapest (let's say $3-4k- by WGU standards- ideally $2k) considering someone with an Associate's level of college credits (Art, Tech, general ed courses) to transfer in? I know you mentioned WGU, not being that hacker-friendly, but so far in my research-I've heard better reviews from WGU.

I completed an MS in Management at WGU and had no problems with the proctored exams. They use a webcam and the exams are taken in the student's home. The company proctoring the exams is very specific about the position of the webcam but it's no big deal. I suspect it would be very hard to cheat on their proctored exams, so be honest and you'll have no problems. I would like to see more content on graduate schools, thanks.

What are your opinions about Purdue University Global for an M.S. degree? Aside from their graduation rate, I personally like that they offer seminars and the curriculum seems good. I see good reviews and then I see other views saying that they'll be the next University of Phoenix. I can't make up my mind.
