Smoke Test? 😶
ОтветитьJust used this case a few days ago... COMPLETE GARBAGE! The support brackets and cable gromets are not aligned well with typical ATX boards. LOTS of 90 degree stress angles that I am not comfortable with putting so much stress on your motherboard connectors. The shroud is HORRIBLE to work with and is supposed to be a focal point of this case.
Additionally I would expect a hinge gladd panel for this price point. THere are LOTS of reports of this glass shattering frequently. No thanks, returning it ASAP!
My door didn't shut on my 7000D because of all the thick cables I was so I just slid it off and didn't use it.
ОтветитьI have this case and i am studying how many fans i should put in and how should i install them... i know it needs to be close to neutral but a tad more positive.. so more intake than exaust... so now i know i will put the 3 fans in front and try and test to take off and on that lil ledge at the bottom front for more airflow to my gpu... i will also try to compare with only 1 fan at the back vs 1 at the back and 1 on top both exaust to see if i see drops in temp. the 6th fan i think is just not good as if you instal it for exaust it will kick the air out before it even reach the cpu so i think its better to leave it out/unplugged or even make it as a 4th intake fan but i do not like making a top fan an intake for the dust reasons and my balance will be more off as i will have too much intake vs exaust... this is more complicated then i first anticipated to have the maximum out of my investment but it is quite interesting... so conclusion i think the best will be 3 intake in front with or without the small pannel/ledge and 2 exaust one at the back one on top as far back as it can go.. hopefully my GPU will receive enough air that way as i will get closer to a neutral setup as it can be.
ОтветитьJust got this case with the RGB and fan hubs. This case is amazing, lots of flexibility
ОтветитьJayz, great video! I just purchased a new ABS ALI631system with the Corsair 5000X ICUE RGB (white) case. Case design and building technology has come a long way from my current prehistoric Coolermaster HAF X. Your video on this similar Corsair case pointed out some features that I hadn't yet realized - nice work, Corsair! And, Jayz, thank you for really taking the time to go through the construction & air flow design of this case. In the past, most PC & case reviewers avoid getting down to the bottom line on airflow design, and avoid it like it had COVID. Good job - new subscriber!
Ответитьwhich would you choose, this case or lian li 216?
ОтветитьAt least there is not a 8000D.
Ответить2 years later, still a usefull ans solid review ! Many thanks !!!
ОтветитьNot seeing why you'd get this over the 4000D Airflow.
ОтветитьCan it fit Arctic liquid freezer II 360 top mounted ?
Ответитьjust got this case cause i wanted to have a bit more space with the future of using liquid cooling
Ответитьthat my case
ОтветитьКаленое стекло этого корпуса взорвалось в руках при открытии корпуса. Засыпало мелкими осколками всю квартиру.
Ответить-- Question: The magnetic dust filter on the top of the case. Can that be removed and used on the 3 'side case' fans? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I plan to exhaust out the top, and have 6, 120's in the front (3 being for a 36O radiator.
Does the 5000d air filter on the front panel have the exact same one as the 5000x ?
ОтветитьSo question
I doing two AIO one on top and the other on the side
Three fans in front!
Should I do the rear fan pushing ir pulling air in?
can fit 6 fans on the top push pull on an aio
Ответитьhey guys, so the included fan controller is just for PWM or it has argb capabilities as well?
Ответитьsaw the thumbnail in my suggested vids and thought, that looks like mine (which i just bought 2 weeks ago for my very first pc build). great case!
Ответитьwhy have i had this case for 2 months now and had no idea that it could disassemble? should of watched this video sooner and NO i wasnt going to look at the manual, i dont have time for that
ОтветитьBest Case ...
ОтветитьThis is the case I went with for my new build, using an AMD 7900X and 3090 Ti. There’s a 360 AIO top mounted for the CPU, and 6 intake fans on the front and left side. This case does a great job keeping the system cool with plenty of airflow!
Ответитьmy Corsair 450d from 2014 still doin super jop with all new mb and 4080
Ответитьyou did a review a while back where the case had front I/O that could be moved to bottom or side of case yet I dont remember what case it was. Do you by any chance remember what it was?
ОтветитьAirflow is always recommended to keep your PC cool. Using Noctua fans would also be recommended to get all the airflow a case like this needs.
ОтветитьI have 5000x
ОтветитьCan't wait to see the build for this one!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьMine comes tomorrow!
ОтветитьJust ordered me one to start me a build. Been watching a lot of your videos, couldnt do it with out!
ОтветитьOne thing I did when planning my next build (coming soon) is once I found a case I liked I downloaded the manual from the manufacturers website because the manual for the case is going to have more detail than any online store website in terms of the images and I can sort of better see if the build I want to do would work with that case and I mean what does it cost me to do this 11mb of download and whatever 30 seconds my internet provider takes to perform that task hahaha.
ОтветитьI had
3+1+1+1+2 120mm Fans and 1x200mm fan in my old Antech 1200 Case hahaha
Does it have enough room in the front panel for a 360mm AIO with fans on the front and back of the radiator?
Ответитьhad both and this one really sucks compared to a Lian Li Dynamic Evo which they are trying to copy, honestly just go Lian Li.
ОтветитьTurbulent flow is good for cooling solutions. I don't know why you are scared of it.
ОтветитьI know I’m late (I’m a new viewer). I’m looking for the best fan configuration for the 5000D Airflow case. My original plan was to use 7 fans total: 3 fans intake front, 1 exhaust fan back, and 3 exhaust on top (360mm AIO/radiator).
Would this create a negative type air pressure since there’s 1 more exhaust fans than there is intake fans? Or would that not be a big deal in this case?
Also, it was mentioned you might be able to run fans from the side while leaving the removable tray ON. I see a bunch of setups with the 3 fans with the tray off, but I’m wondering is it acceptable to leave that tray on with the fans behind it? Thanks.
(I just got into PC building a few months ago so please excuse my lack of technical terms)
That manual though. 😂😂 I have 4000D airflow.
ОтветитьI hope Shroud paid you for this video xD
ОтветитьJay you mentioned about accessories that uses the 2.5 drive mounting screw holes, can I know what are they? Does the Commander pro/core have these holes? I'd prefer using screws over tape when mounting my accessories
ОтветитьI like the case but not the price @ $175.00 Is way to much with 2 only garbage fans in it and what's up with with only one jack for audio and mic. Why would anyone pay for the name when I can get a Fractal Meshify2 RGB with 4x120mm RGB pwm fans for that price of $175. If Corsair had 4 Quality RGB fans/PWM in it I would then pay the $175 for it.
ОтветитьI love my 4000D Airflow tbh, just wish they dropped the hard drive bay completely and cut like 3cm off the front to make it even more compact.
ОтветитьDoes anybody know if this fits a gigabyte x570s aorus master, xfx 6900xt, noctua dh15 air cooler? Everything looks good on paper but wondering if anybody has experience with them. Really considering swapping but worried about clearance
Ответитьwhen it comes to pc cases, I definitely care more about internal function/form over external form
Ответитьi like it but i don't want a tempered glass panel and nowadays bearly every case has one.
ОтветитьJust got this case🤔
That back door will not close on my setup. I took it off along with some other "features" that came on the case. I have a 1000W iRGB Thermaltake PSU and the cables coming off of that simply cannot be managed without undue stress in this box (with the back door on). No sweat off my... brow, but just saying, there needs to be a full two inch minimum on cases that are aftermarket in the backplane cable management area. Put in that extra space, charge the extra 10 dollars, do whatever to make the thing work with REALITY, but don't sell me the dream and deliver the melted hype.
That said, I transplanted from a Thermaltake Core X9, a monster case, and this wasn't ridiculous, it just should have been perfected by now. Stop saving pennies up front while stepping over dollars of after market power!
Edit: Oh, and thanks Jay. I like your reviews a lot. Real down to earth.
The 570x did have an end plate for the PSU shroud but Corsair charged $15 for it. >_>
