Philadelphia's youth grapple with the prevalence of gun violence in their city

I thought young men and women were worried about going home and arriving on time. Doing homework. Being home for dinner. Crossing the streets on the way home. Now why is it that they have to be worried about gun violence? Gun insanity is running rampant. When does gun violence become an NAACP issue? I grew up in this city, years later still here. I think the biggest difference between then and now is we weren't so quick to pick up a gun, we were tough kids without weapons. I got the same impression hearing these teenagers stories, the fact that they don't need guns tells me a couple things. The first is, these are some seriously tough kids and secondly just listening to them is impressive, you can already see where these kids are headed, that would be UP...

I live in Philadelphia I lied to you not people it sounds like Baghdad every night my neighbors cameras if you saw that footage one camera you probably see about 10 shootings and a few homicides on that one camera my friend went on vacation to get away from Philly you know where he went to get away from Philly Chicago and said it was relaxing you know your cities messed up and bad when you go to Chicago to get away on vacation
