This video is such an inspiration. I’m a student from Myanmar (which is not in a good situation by any means), and starting CC at De Anza in September. Although the chances are slim, I will just go for it and try my best. Life is short after all. However, I wonder if I still need to take a foreign language as an international student. Also, I will most likely book a consultation appointment with you in the future when I complete my credits. Really looking forward to it. I was lost with how I am supposed to continue my education given my circumstances and this video gave me hope and aspirations. Thank you sir.

wish i watched this before transferring too soon from my community college. Graduated highschool when I was 15; had a 3.95 GPA in CC but i didnt know why i chose the school i applied to. my mental health detoured; failed all my classes, took 9 months off college, did not much of anything, i got too stressed, s3lf h4rmd. thought that was the end for me with 0 degree. im now continuing where i left off in a uni that doesn’t feel right to me through 15 sessions of tgerapy, but i know i am better than this and meant to overcome or be bigger than this. i don’t know how to navigate my life from here. i need guidance…. its like im loosing most times than i’d like

I’m only 16 and I’ve been to 10 different public schools too, I’ve moved so many times I can’t even keep track. I’m looking to go to community college in a year and figure things out for myself. Sometimes I feel like there’s no one out there who really shares a story similar to mine, often time I grow super sad knowing how messy my childhood was. This video taught me to not let that define me. Again, thank you SO SO MUCH ❤

Thank you for sharing your story Alan. I am a community college student from the bay area with hopes of transferring to Stanford. I came from a tough family life. I wasn't able to pursue math or science during my high school years, I'm grateful to have the opportunity to explore my interests at community college. Like you, I also developed an interest in physics and mathematics, I hope to study computer engineering! :)
