One mistake in your video is how you show the disinfection process with the coton.
You do the motion once , not several times. Doing it several times is a common rookie mistake and it just makes you clean the area with the first sweep only to reaply the germs on that same area with the second motion. Alcoohol helps but if you reapply the same coton on the same area you only clean something with something contaminated.
It's a mistake that makes nurse students fail their practical exams instantly.
You should at least put a small text to point out the error.
I know blood can totally been drawn from arteries, having worked as an emergency and cardiovascular registered nurse. Often, this is done to check blood gas, lactic acid, & carbon monoxide levels from peripheral arterires and from the pulmonary artery for central blood gas levels like in heart surgery.

bij mijn slagaders voel ik een doorstroming tot aan mijn handen
bij mijn handen zelf voel ik mijn vingers trillen
20 19 uur krijg ik het gevoel van verdriet erbij
But what about the radial artery this one is close.
ОтветитьTurn to the LORD and have all keep doing for the LORD your work doesn’t go unnoticed!!! GOD bless all!! He has what you need!!

ОтветитьWhy is the TQ removed before the needle?
ОтветитьMy veins are paining from 3 days now after they took my blood for sampling ,
Just wanted to know how many days it will take to be fine ?
**WRONG***WRONG**
I am an RN with 33 years experience. I have drawn THOUSANDS of arterial blood samples from patients ranging in age from newborns to adults. The most common lab the REQUIRES an arterial stick is an arterial blood gas. Some patients need arterial samples every two hours for days, but in these cases we place an arterial line ( the arterial equivalent of an IV)
My arm turn to noodle just from watching this @@
ОтветитьI'm really feeling tired and sleepy watching blood related videos
ОтветитьI want to be drawn blood from my artery :(
ОтветитьIs it ok to use injection for drawing blood
ОтветитьHow about in a situation where you have hemophobia. How to overcome this situation. I wanted to get a blood test but i just can't stand it to see or hear or even think about blood related thing.
ОтветитьIn cases of respiratory failure, we need to see arterial blood samples to analize the arterial gases…
ОтветитьWe remove the tourniquet the second we hit the vein, not after we fill the vile.
ОтветитьCan you use a Vacutainer with arterial puncture?
Ответитьsometimes i draw blood from arteries for analysis...
ОтветитьI have had arterial blood gases done quite a few times……… Not a very pleasant procedure. And when I went to the emergency room recently, they had to do an ultrasound just to establish an IV line, and my blood was so thick.
ОтветитьI love these animations 😂
ОтветитьMy thing is i'm not even scared of needles, i can take vaccines just fine
But most of my blood test experiences were so bad that now i just panic when i need to have one (one of the bad ones happening when i was a small child also didn't help)
Life is often disappointing
My veins kept collapsing in the BICU so they tried to get an artery to do a pick line... it hurt so effing bad. Then I look up and my blood is shooting out at my pulse rate, about three feet out of my pelvis. I was then told "He was a student and he wasn't able to get it. We're bringing in someone else to do it". I told them there is no way in hell I'm going through that again. They're going to have to find another vein.
ОтветитьDon’t forget to remove the tube from the needle before pulling the needle out of the arm. 🙂
ОтветитьI have had arterial blood many times because of blood clots !!
ОтветитьIt’s painful like hell getting blood from an artery. Arteries are deeper than veins which is why they are painful. I had to get blood drawn from an artery for them to get a blood gas test.
ОтветитьAnimation getting better and better😀😀
Keep it up:-)
❤️❤️
ОтветитьAnother terrific educational video
ОтветитьPhlebotomist here. Just want to mention that there are cases where we need to draw arterial blood. Veins are definitely the most common but yeah we do still prick arteries
