Thank you, so much, for this quick and easy recipe. Can't wait to try it, Grandpa! :-)
ОтветитьGrandma & Grandpa, I am so happy to stumble upon one of your recipes 3 hours ago. Both of you remind me of my grandparents who love cooking for me when I was really young and unfortunately, I didn't have as much time as I would love to spend with them. Both of your voices are so calming and I love how straight forward your recipes and directions. Thank you for sharing all your recipes and taking the time to share them with us.
ОтветитьHow many crusts can you get from this recipe?
ОтветитьThank you for the recipe.
ОтветитьHi Grandpa ❤
ОтветитьThank you, sir! This is my go to recipe and I love it!
ОтветитьThank you so much 🙏💝🙏
ОтветитьI have been looking for a simple no nonsense pie dough and you delivered. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьI use this recipe all the time, but I double it. This recipe is only enough dough for a bottom crust, barely. It's OK for pumpkin pie, but for fruit pies, it's gotta be doubled.
ОтветитьGreat job grandpa❤...
ОтветитьThank you Gandpa 👍🏾
ОтветитьNow; thats a crusty old man. 😊
ОтветитьBETTER THEN SOME OF THESE WOMENS PIE CRUST RECIPES
ОтветитьYou forgot the salt Grampa!!!🤭 l loved this and will make your pie in ltaly where l live.thankyou.lots of love
ОтветитьGrandpa.. please tell me what was in that package you placed on the counter top next to the board.. that disappeared quickly .. before you rolled out the dough ?? 💛
ОтветитьSometimes when you try to roll out dough, it wants to keep springing back to a ball doesn’t want to roll out! In that case, let your dog sit for a few minutes and let it relax. Then start rolling again. Make sure it’s good and cold.😊
ОтветитьHello GF.
I just made your pie dough for a Cherry pie.
Hope it turns out good. It's in the oven right now.
What does partially bake mean pls? At what degree?
Thank you
Thanks for this simple recipe. I've always been intimidated by pie crust. Homemade is always better.🥰
ОтветитьThank you!
The easiest recipe ever that I have found. Hope it is super easy like it seems when I actually make it.
I will have to say that i absolutely LOVED this recipe. I made a top and bottom crust and for me, I ended up needing 6 1/2 TBS of cold water. That is the only thing. I also froze my butter and grated it in so i wouldn't tire my hand out from my RA. THANKS for a winner recipe!
ОтветитьThanks so very much for this!! Do you think I could just throw the butter and flour into a food processoror would that mess it up somehow? Please share other old school recipes you know. Even the stuff you learned in home economics class would help out the young people since we never learned any of this! Again, thank you very much, grandpa!
ОтветитьFabulous ❣️❣️❣️
ОтветитьOK I am keeping this pie dough recipe forever and ever. It's going in my recipe book tonight. I used it for my leftover pot roast pot pie, and it came out like a dream. It was so flakey and decadent yuuummmmm.
ОтветитьThis was just like our pie crust but we used Crisco years ago. My grandma used 2 butter knives, one in each hand and criss crosed them and sliced them through the Crisco and flour until you had pea sized little balls. Then we added the water like you did and used a fork to press the flour and water into a dough ball! Then roll it out for your pie crusts. God Bless! (Then she took the extra dough trimmings and made her "kluski", boiled them and we ate them waiting for the pie to be done) God Bless!
ОтветитьWhat temperature do you bake it at? & for how long?
ОтветитьMy ma said that since I'm 18 now I have to bring somthing for Thanksgiving and this video help me make some pumpkin pie crust at 3:30 am. Great tutorial 👌
ОтветитьLove the 70s mixing bowls.😄🇺🇲
ОтветитьBless you for Sharing!
ОтветитьWhat a great team like my grandparents were in the kitchen.
ОтветитьCool!
ОтветитьHi There Sir ..... what kind of board is that ???
ОтветитьGrate the cold butter on a box grater, tossing lightly to combine! It goes much quicker to get to the proper consistency and is more evenly distributed. Then proceed as directed!
ОтветитьThank you Grandpa and Grandma for this recipe! I have to try this on Holidays! Looks easy! Have blessed day!
ОтветитьI’ll have to find your other video for making the full pie. This seems simple and budget friendly. Also the video pace is amazing, not too fast that I get overwhelmed and have a panic attack but not so slow I get impatient. I don’t usually like pie but I think my ten year old son would like this,he likes to help in the kitchen but I usually can’t let him much bc I don’t even know what I’m doing most of the time,& being in a rental is so tiny and difficult for us both to be in there at the same time.
Thank you for sharing.
Thx grandpa . U r very good in the kitchen! ❤
ОтветитьHey Grandma and Grandpa I hope you are doing well. I really enjoyed watching the videos on the depression pie, I have to try this, looks yummy!! Stay safe and warm from the storm too.
ОтветитьI would have liked to see you put the pie crust in a dish to pre- bake it. I always have trouble with my crust shrinking or rising up in the middle no matter what I do.
ОтветитьI’m so happy I found you it makes me miss my Mom and Dad my mMom baked alot
ОтветитьFrom the snow ball recipe I came over to learn Grandma's pie crust recipe, I have never been able to do, I'm going to try this..thank you for sharing
ОтветитьOK, now I'm waiting for the next video to see what you baked with it.🥧😉 If I hadn't just had a chicken pot pie for dinner, I'd be craving apple pie like crazy right now. Hmm, maybe apple cranberry....
ОтветитьGreat info
Ответитьthanks. good video.
ОтветитьNicely done
ОтветитьThanks Grandma and Grandpa. Real old fashioned pie crust. You can't beat it. Grandpa really has baker's hands.
Hope you're staying warm! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for another great recipe!
ОтветитьThis Is Wonderful! Thank you for sharing Grandpa! Sending huge hugs your way! I sure appreciate you & Grandma! (Very Much!) 🙏🐾🌈🦋🌱🎈🧚♀️😇🌏🌻❤️💡💌
ОтветитьGreat recipe and so easy. Thanks for sharing Grandpa. Stay well and safe.
Ответить😋😋😋 💙💜 yummy
ОтветитьAnother great recipe. So easy.
I tried a new recipe the other night. 2 ingredient dough.
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (regular or nonfat).
Mix together. Add more flour if needed.
I used it for pizza dough but can use it for anything. I'm going to try pretzels next time.
I love how easy this is! Thank you!!! 🤗 I love your channel and have learned soooooo much from you two! 💖 What kind of board is this? I need that in my kitchen.
