ОтветитьI'm doing a 1-meal a day keto eating about 200 grams of meat every day. (fish, red meat, chicken). Do I have to eat meat every single day to stay in ketosis? Thinking in terms of "too much of anything is poison", can I have just eggs instead of meat, or better yet, have a day without any protein? Thanks.

I keep hearing how, if you refrigerate or freeze pasta or bread for 24 hours, then it breaks the resistance of the carbs down and it's healthier for you. Is this correct? Coud it then be keto friendly? thanks in advance!

ОтветитьI am starting and it is about keytones but not really figuring on getting into keyto. This is my third day after not realising I needed to get rid of a lot more than just simply rice and pasta to eliminate carbs. I had thought I had started a month back but reality is that I did not eliminate carbs and sugar to a good level until 3 days back. Had 2 significan results. Inflamation has decreased almost completely in my lower legs and hunger has gone even if I do the intermittent fasting with a 16 hour delay between last meal of previous day and first meal of new day. The other thing but a negative, I have had fatigue really bad soon after meals but figure it is because my body is not used to going without carbs. This is taking a long time to get started properly but somebody had said it takes up to 2 weeks for your body to kick into ketosis. It's not so easy as I thought and seems difficult because I have never experienced the effect of keytones apart from full fast which seems similar but honestly it seemed to be easier than this.

ОтветитьI'm just starting out with Keto and there is so much info out there it is horribly confusing. The recipe books are filled with lots of recipes but it would cost a ton of money to make most of them. I'm not a cook and if it has more than five ingredients it's not going to happen. All the weird stuff too. How can one start without having to invest so much money on things I can't even find in the store? I haven't even started yet and I'm already frustrated. I am not on any social platforms.

ОтветитьWhen you watch old black and white movies, those skinny people were eating butter and drinking full fat milk - especially their kids. They ate a portion of meat. They ate mostly whole grains in breads and crackers, the bleached alternatives were just starting to appear. They ate fruits and vegetables, including potatoes. When they did drink juice in the morning it was in a small “juice glass.” They were just starting to add the processed foods to the stores. Fast food restaurants were just getting started. People drank soda pop as an occasional treat, not daily, and certainly not with every meal. They ate reasonable portions at meals. Snacks were a treat, not a way of life. I believe the diet mentality started appearing more at that time too, but nothing like now. People need to be reasonable about food. No food eaten in moderation that’s from its natural source (the earth) is “bad”. Processed food (not food that has just been blended and/or cooked, but food that has had its structure altered) is bad. They take nutrients out of food and then re-add nutrients. Does that make sense to you?
Sure, people who are overweight can lose weight on Keto. Fasting can be helpful too. But to be reasonable: you don’t 100% cut out any food that you have available, you’re not allergic to and that’s basically in its natural state. You just eat it in moderation. There’s a wide variety of natural food on earth, with a wide variety of nutritional value, not to mention flavors that enhance life. If you don’t need to lose weight, don’t have diabetes or food allergies why would you go on a diet? Just strictly avoid processed foods!
God created food for our enjoyment and health. Mankind is ruining it by altering it, and polluting it.
