Great shot of the train tunnel under the river.
ОтветитьCool Videos
Ответитьmake the site as a hotel or casino?
Ответитьi want to come to Detroit for a holiday from Australia to look at this and meet the Golds
ОтветитьGreat video! Just one minor correction for the future. The rebuilds are called SD30C-ECOs, not SD38C-ECOs.
ОтветитьGreat channel! Thanks for all the interesting videos! ;)
ОтветитьWould love to see Amtrak use this station for the Wolverine and maybe an Amtrak service to London, ON
Ответитьmake it a hotel museums. put up. at lease half of the train shelter. in the back with full size steam locomotives restored. and a air compressor to blow the whistles. and cord to ring the bell. and the basement as the booking file room for the Detroit police dept.
ОтветитьWow, i didn't realize that the tracks were still around at the old station. Nice coverage!!
ОтветитьNice perspective on the shot of the train as it enters the tunnel. I grew up in a suburb of Detroit in the years when the car float took oversize cars too big for the tunnel across the riveronn barges. After the tunnel was enlarged just enough to go allow those cars to fit, I believe the car float shut down.
Ответитьwhat was inside the building when it was in use?
ОтветитьLike: Well done drone photography. Ford Motor Company is in talks today to purchase the Michigan Central Station. Hope this happens. Refurbish part of station, 😎 Cool
• Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Did they use this building in the movie It Follows?
ОтветитьGreat videos !!
Ответитьford just bought her !
ОтветитьFord Motor Company has bought the station and is going to renovate it and house 2500 employees when done. that's good for Detroit. It's nice that trains still pass the station even if none stop there anymore.
ОтветитьSo much to love about this!
ОтветитьWould have loved to have seen this place at it's peak!!
ОтветитьWindsor is my hometown I only live minutes away from the tunnel
ОтветитьCool video
ОтветитьThe station has tunnels running under and around the premises i know that because I use to play inside of its Buddy I use to live on Hubbard st and w.vernor
ОтветитьFord acquired this and immediately went to work securing it and restoring the main passenger areas of the structure. They have advanced far enough in that restoration that they gave a tour to a model railroading group in the fall of 2019.
ОтветитьThe CASO needs a comeback
ОтветитьThat was once a beautiful and busy train station
ОтветитьI was in Detroit last year and I saw this huge awesome building, it was sad to see it not running. Hope they brings this building back to life it be great to see
ОтветитьWhy did they stArt the tunnel so far away from the water , looks like a kilometre or so.
Looks like the tunnel goes under buildings too
What a dump of a warzone, looks like Beruit.
ОтветитьLargest train station in the world which he never mentions and now owned by Ford motor company. It will be now coined as the Brain Think Tank Station and rival silicon valley. This is were the EV vehicles will be engineered.
ОтветитьCan I ask you a Question- While doing redevelopment of Michigan Central Station of leasing Ford Motor Company- Will the Train come back to Michigan Central Station using Amtrak Train Service or not? Positive Answers and Positive Comments.
ОтветитьIn 2022, the former train station is the symbol of Detroit's revival as the centerpiece of Ford Motor Company's Corktown campus for development of autonomous vehicles!
ОтветитьNice video…great drone shots; It woulda been cool if U got a C.U. of the tunnel going under the Detroit River. Surprised U didn’t notice all the new window glass & restored atrium frame.
U missed the real reason of what went on here…Totally!
The trains from the East, South, South West , West. North & thru Canada…All went by HERE! ….This was a very busy place, ‘specially during the 1940’s & 50’s. (Yes...I was a War Puppy)
Thank God they The Ford Motor Company is almost finished with renovations on this beautiful building. Soon it will be Fords headquarters.
ОтветитьSince the station is redone what about the train tracks in the back are they being restored?
ОтветитьI'd love to see a follow up video of this after yesterday's reopening... Hopefully train service could also one day be restored to the site if Amtrak moved back in and the streetcar was extended to it! Plus you know, Commuter Rail that's been talked about/planned forever but has never taken off in any meaningful way but should!
