Glad you are feeling better. I had a bout of vertigo many years ago, not fun. I am a bunny fan ( stitching your Cottontail right now) but my first choice is the friends under the umbrella, 2nd would be one of the bunny charts. Enjoy your girl’s getaway.
ОтветитьLiz! I just want you to know you're not alone. I had to pause to type, lol. I just finished 16 rounds of chemo, so I know how your dad feels, and I can imagine how you feel from watching my family take care of me. And... holy cow, I've had vertigo in the past, and you're not exaggerating; it is horrible. I guess I just wanted to say it's okay to share so we all don't feel alone. Love you tons. Prayers for your dad... now back to your video, lol. ❤
ОтветитьMy vote for your trip is either the bunny pattern or the Prairie Schooler baskets.
ОтветитьOhhh! Your stocking is gorgeous! I love the friends with the gals under umbrella for you and your bestie so cute. Also!!! I really really want to get a purple lowry stand from Lindy Stitches! Ohhĥhh. Have a great rest of your weeks. Thanks for sharing all the things
ОтветитьLiz, I am glad you're feeling better. Happy Easter. Enjoy your time with your father. Also, happy birthday. Have a good time with your friend Annie. I was wondering if the moon and the sun could be together in one chart. The moon winking or smiling at the sun. 😉 🌞.
Ответитьso glad you got diagnosed quickly; sending prayers for your dad. Happy belated 41st birthday! enjoy your videos!
ОтветитьWell when you said you got sick at your dad's, yes, I went there and thought you were going to tell us you were expecting ❤.
Love the two girls and umbrella for your ornament.
I too am a Lowry stand stitcher and I love it, I also purchased mine from Lindy Stitches.... I first came into contact with it at my first cross stitch retreat. One of my sweet table mates let me try hers and needless to say I ended up using it all weekend (she had the table lowry stand so I wasn't being mean by not giving her stand back lol)... anyway I found I was able to stitch pretty fast with the front and back method.
ОтветитьBless your heart Liz...vertigo is horrible. I have Meineres disease which is a build up of fluid around my ear drum. It is a lifel Iong disease and is like having vertigo about once a week. Not quite as severe as yours but very bothersome. Still praying for your dad. I think you should stitch the rooster and sunflower in the egg pattern and put yalls initials in the middle.of the sunflower ( if they will fit ) !
ОтветитьGlad you’re feeling better and that you’re dad if doing well with his chemo
Ответить❤🌻🐝🌻So glad your feeling better! And praying your Dad Continues to get better with treatment.
ОтветитьThe Lowry stand looks awesome however how do you secure your stitches in the back without having to take your project out of the clamp each time?
ОтветитьLove your videos - your love for stitching shines through your smile! Continued prayers for your dad!
ОтветитьHi Liz
I’m so sorry you had vertigo! My husband has had that and he said it was terrible. Glad you’re all better!
Sending healing thoughts to your dad.
I love my Lowery stand too! I just received it a few weeks ago. Word of advice: invest in the corner clamp for qsnaps. It is amazing and holds better!
ОтветитьI know you’ve already left for your birthday adventure with Annie but my vote for commemorative ornament design would be the first one you showed us (with the sun) on the front and on the back add the verse about being friends in sun and shade. Anything you pick will be epic. Have fun!
ОтветитьI’m having a lot of fun working on the dimensions pattern so glad I decided to participate thx for the inspiration !!!❤
ОтветитьI like the two ladies under the umbrella.
ОтветитьChange out a duck swimming for the fish jumping!
ОтветитьLiz I feel your pain. I had two episodes of vertigo during the past 2 years and I will like to mention some of symptoms I had that you did not mention just in case you experience them. I could not watch TV or read because your eyes make a weird movement (Nystagmus) and I could not drink or eat for 7-8 days. I heard of people that had to be hospitalized so that’s how bad it is regardless, as you said, sounds so simple. I hope you feel better always specially when you are helping your dad. Best wishes for both of you.❤
ОтветитьHappy birthday! I just turned 38 and I can’t wrap my mind around that either. I do not feel that old at all. 😊
ОтветитьHi Liz *this is a long one but I pray you see this. If it is possible to zoom chat or have email I can talk back and forth with you I would be grateful to be a support, taking a Hard life struggle and helping others is what I strive to do.
I have Ménière’s Disease (not what you have don’t panic) which the main symptoms are constant dizziness and the full blown crawling to the bathroom concentrating w/all you have to breathe through minutes that feel like hrs. Im grateful your dx w/ vertigo and I’m glad it is only that. YOU GOT THIS!
➡️Do your best to take inflammatory foods out of your diet gradually and low sodium over time is helpful, it’s the best thing long term. Stress is a huge trigger. Be kind and let yourself sleep after an episode it drains your body physically. Also you will start to understand things that are your triggers.
Have they done the tilt back and turn your head test? The best news it could loose crystals and there are PT options to help put them back into place. I myself have the kind that I don’t have the prior mentioned. I’m 38y/o ( it comes suddenly for most ppl) at age 23 I was dx. So please let me walk along side you so you can glean what is true from the chaos on the internet looking for answer like I did back then. 🙏🏻☺️
Oh I can really sympathize with you over vertigo. My big bout hit me at work & I had to get my sister & brother-in-law to come get me so someone could drive my car. I did crawl to the bathroom to throw up from the nausea. I did have the head turning procedure done and it helped. I always take my meds with me in case it rears it's ugly head again. I will sometimes get a little spinning if I tilt my head way back to look up. All newest kits are so pretty. I'm very behind on the Dimensions sal, but I'm working to catch up. Hope you are having a fabulous girls trip!
ОтветитьWhen you roll those crystals back into your ear it is the weirdest feeling. Unlike anything I've experienced. I hope it doesn't happen again - but it is good to know what it's like. Rest and take time time.
ОтветитьI've had my stand for at least 40 yrs or more. You will absolutely love it. I was a needlepoint stitcher and it was wonderful. Not sure if there were any accessories back then. No choice of colors either. It was also expensive back then. I loved it for years. Then I got away from stitching and into quilting. Now doing cross stitch, but doing sewing method. I have about 8 beautiful needlepoint projects in the closet. Like all needlework projects our desires are bigger than our completions. Love everything that you do. I have made 2 sets of #1 #3 #6 of 12 days of Christmas. Getting ready to start #7. Keeps me happy. Keep it up.
ОтветитьOh my gosh, Liz, that vertigo experience sounds terrifying! I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but I'm very glad you were able to resolve it quickly. I've been getting that "stress" diagnosis for over a year now, and it's so frustrating. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I think it's helpful in case any of us find ourselves in the same situation!
It sounds like you've had a heck of a time lately. I hope you are able to relax and unwind with your bff and enjoy your birthday!
Glad your Dad did well with his last chemo treatment. So sorry you had such awful vertigo and glad that the treatment worked! Happy belated birthday!
ОтветитьI’m so happy your Dad is doing well with his treatments❤ chemo and radiation is hard and it can change you a little so give him lots of hugs and time when you can. Love love all you do Liz and I hope you don’t experience vertigo ever again! Blessings😊
ОтветитьI had virtigo a few times in last couple of years. It is very scary when it happens the first time. A few suggestions: make sure you are taking 1000IU of vitamin D per day. I do the manuevers that help for sure. But after having it 4 times I have not had it again since I started taking the vitamin D. Hope this helps you too.
ОтветитьLove the stocking! When I stitched some Hummels years ago I just couldn’t put the projects down. Each time I left the canvas I was so taken with the beauty that revealed itself that I couldn’t stop stitching!! Yep. Leave out the fish! Happy birthday!!
ОтветитьLove the bunny idea for your ornament.
ОтветитьGlad you got a quick diagnosis and are feeling better. Crystals in the ear were a big thing about 10 years ago and an ENT had a way to turn the body upside down to realign the crystals. Have a great birthday trip! Happy 41! Happy stitching!
ОтветитьOh my goodness. Listening to you talk about the vertigo-I can so relate. I’ve gotten it throughout my life, and it’s really tough. I’m glad you got help from your family and the doctor! Glad to hear your dad is doing well. Happy belated birthday! (Now I’m going to watch the rest of your video haha.)
ОтветитьI’m so glad you are feeling better take care and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
ОтветитьI hope you had a wonderful time on your girls night out with Annie! Happy stitching 💜
ОтветитьDo you have Farm Fresh, No. 108, from PS? There are some darling spring like things. There’s a cute bunny and I love the ducks and the flowers. Egg ornament potentially.
ОтветитьI'm absolutely loving your full coverage enthusiasm. Happy Easter.
ОтветитьGlad you are feeling better. Vertigo is no joke. And not being able to stitch is not fun either. Your stitching is beautiful as always. Have a fun trip.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your thoughts and stitching. Praying for Dad’s recovery.
Do you know of an LNS in Maryland?
Love your shirt! Look forward to your next video so we can hear more all about all of it! <3
ОтветитьI do not like the fish suspended in the air. Just no.
ОтветитьHi, Liz! Well, this was a fun stitchy video with you. Vertigo sounds horrible. I’m so glad you had lots of support and are fully mended. It reminds me of when my daughter had vertigo at work once. I had about 15 minutes of excitement that she might be pregnant. 😂 Funny. Not so funny. Fast forward many years later and she’s married with two baby boys. About that fish on the chart. He’s just hopping up out of the water to say, “Hello, Liz Matthews!” 😂 I just started following your friend Annie. I can’t wait to hear about your fun birthday celebration. Happy birthday to you, sweet girl! 🎉🎉🎉Many happy stitches. Your fan in North Texas, @shecavestitcher
ОтветитьI would choose the ladies under the Umbrella❤️
ОтветитьEnjoy your girls night out with Annie. I love the stocking. And who doesn't love a good Prairie Schooler collection. 😊 And yes, vertigo is not fun. I have had vertigo off and on for 20 years. I have resolved it back in 2018 (knock on wood). Long story on why I kept getting it. Its like a spinning tea cup ride that just doesn't stop. A lot of my vertigo was positional, and trying to sleep at night could be a challenge. My poor husband, I would slam on the mattress like that would stop the spinning tea cups ride. I am so glad you were able to get yours resolved in a timely manner and that you are feeling much better. Enjoy Easter with your dad!
ОтветитьHey Liz, I have had vertigo. This last June I had the worst case, emts had to guide me out of house to gurney with my eyes shut because everything was spinning. It poured rain just as I was getting to gurney, I got soaked and the ambulance felt like a dune buggy bouncing all over on the way to hospital and I threw up several times all over myself. I had to wait in ER for over 3 hrs before I got a room..soaked.wet. husband asked for a gown so I could change. It was a nightmare..so girl..I Know what you went through. It's terrible!! One time I went to physical therapy and they did the eplay maneuver to re align then crystals. Not a fun experience..sorry you had to experience that.
ОтветитьMy dad had a similar experience. Once day he just got dizzy and couldn't walk as he would go to stand up and just end up on the floor. He saw a vestibular specialist and apparently had something where the bones inside his ear that tell your body where it is in space (who knew that was a thing?!) per the doctor, "came loose". The treatment was same as you said, he had maneuvers he had to do and they worked! We did enjoy teasing him about the rocks in his head rattling about! So glad to hear you're feeling better! That Christmas stocking is beautiful - the backstich really makes it pop! Hope your vacation was wonderful!
ОтветитьI love Dimensions kits, too. One bit of advice from my mom years ago was to not leave the outline stitching for the last but complete it as you go. That was good advice because when you have a larger piece to work leaving the outline stitching for the last can become overwhelming.
And Happy Birthday, Liz! Don't fret over the number. Every age is a different adventure so just enjoy where you're at.
I like your SAL ideas for kits. I'll check them out.
PS Folk Eggs goes to top because you love them and also because she gifted it to you before your trip. Second choice is the bunny rabbit. Have a great time!
ОтветитьThe sun and moon ❤
ОтветитьVertigo is an awful diagnosis to have to deal with! So glad yours was brief and over! I think the Folk Egg would be a perfect choice with the bunny a second runner up. Enjoy your time with Annie!
