Hello there. I'd like to say that I also saw an A320 almost being hit by an A330 right ABOVE my SCHOOL! They were probably: A330: Cathay pacific A320: Philippine Airlines/PAL Express and I was there when I saw the near miss happen! They were only like 600m - 800m apart! The "History repeated itself" defenitely applies there! And also I'm Flipino.

This crash is mainly caused by a bunch of factors, like the pilots listening to the ATC instead of the TCAS (the pilots of Bashkirian Flight 2937 descended on ATC command despite TCAS telling them to climb) and the ATC who TOLD BOTH OF THE PLANES TO DESCEND.

The sad thing is that the pilots on the Tupolev when it split in half were still alive and knowing they were falling to their deaths and a few moments later they become unconscious because of the G-Force And The DHL Pilots Trying To Save Their Plane Without The Tail

The sad part is that Peter Nielsen, who was the air traffic controller at the time of the collision, was murdered in 2004 by the father of one of the families on the Tupolev. And it wasn’t even his fault. He was to control 2 radar screens that were much slower to respond due to maintenance, and the system that would have alerted him of the impending collision was also not working. And the Tupolev pilots did not obey their TCAS system, where as the Boeing pilots did.
