There's so much to love in this film. It's so earnest, and so sincere; the slow-motion cutaways look like a Bosch painting. I've always found it strange that the general public seems to be react with volatility when a director inserts too much of themselves into a Hollywood genre film. Thinking of the Wachowski Sisters, Shyamalan, Rob Zombie, George Lucas. Don't you want to see something new? Don't you want to see someone's dream writ large?

Very interesting that the other agents were the only ones who put hands on smith when he was going after the analyst, kinda like they’re the only ones who COULD potentially put up a fight against smith

This movie was a disappointment! The movie tries to live up to the original Matrix movie, but is haunted by the ghost of “Jupiter Ascending”. Carrie Anne Moss really needs to join Keanu Reeves in the John Wick franchise!
