Interesting! I have my first set neck kit coming up so this was timely. I was surprised to see that you only put glue on the two horizontal surfaces. Was this so it will be easier to remove the neck if you need to in the future?

It seems that some people stain the guitar and then glue on the neck and some people glue on the neck and then stain the guitar. Which is the correct way or does it really not matter?
