Don’t even need to watch it. He has a phone and service? NOT starting from nothing…that right there is a game changer in today’s world that makes homelessness 100 times harder to get out of.

I'm sorry about his dad. But this is not the same thing he has knowledge a good family there is no pressure like a real homeless person experiences a real homeless person is consumed with despair and that is the worst feeling in the world almost impossible to overcome that void is unlike anything most people will ever experience and you never get over it you just manage the feeling. that feeling of doubt and loneliness like no-one cares having nothing to live or die for you just there existing that feeling never goes away, flares up from time to time. I know he means well by this video but it's not the same👍

This is beyond stupid... He can never ever experience what it's really like to be homeless, because he really isn't. He got loads of money and a house as a backup regardless of how empty his account is for the experiment. He won't ever feel the massive stress of having absolutely no backup whatsoever. He knows he can quit whenever he wants and that nullifies everything. Not a single homeless person would act like this and take these kinds of risks with their money, but he can, of course, because there's no risk involved for him.

A. You aren’t homeless if you actually have a home. B. He was going to doctors, how was he paying for that? How did he get start up money? Selling couches? No way. C. His college education gave him an unbelievable head start. D. He TOTALLY FAILED! He made like 36,000 over 300 days. And that 36,000 wasn’t profit. So he proved without doubt that pulling those bootstraps doesn’t work. It is a lie.

In Canada the only homeless people you see are drug addicts. In the state you’ll see so many people being homeless because of medical debt or mental health issues where they can’t get treatment because no insurance. The US is a complex country.

VÍ have been homeless for years when i was younger, its not as easy as the video makes it seem. Just do 1 crime and your fcked from getting any jobs, and ultimately forced to keep doing crime and/or beg to get money to survive. Its a vicious cycle that keeps repeating itself with no way out. Only reason i made it out was because i had relatives in another country that took care of me. I got registered to the new country i was in and got myself a job, since my criminal recorded past didnt transfer with me. And also, trauma, mental illness and addictions like alcoholism or worse makes it harder then it have to be as well. The reason this is easy for him is because he already have a millionaire skillset, mindset, and security plus no addictions.

I feel like the problem with this video is that Mike knows a lot more than a homeless person would know. He knows how to build a business which even I don't know how to do and I'm not even homeless.

As a member of the homeless community, I do not respect or recognize this man's attempt to go from rags to riches. He quit the it's meant he'd have to sacrifice something real and important from his life, which is something that my people have to go through every single day. He never saw it as anything more than a game, and while playing games and understanding their rules are important, this effort is incomplete.

I don't think the homeless part is very genuine, but I do think the part that is very genuine and valuable, is in persisting in the face of his dad getting cancer. And juggling these real life existential consequences, with the dream of influencing others positively, that is truly commendable.

Ответить
@hobocraft9987
@hobocraft9987 - 01.02.2024 04:50

So now this guy is running an entire team, and he's homeless, sounds familiar, but again most people don't have this level of management experience off the streets.

Ответить
@hobocraft9987
@hobocraft9987 - 01.02.2024 04:48

Again, having somebody pay him for monthly marketing services, is making use of his enormous amount of work experience. Most people don't have this level of high functioning work experience, especially if they're in the situation. Would be a lot more genuine if he built a skill from scratch, such as carpentry, or construction. A lot of men in his position take a much more realistic path towards 1 million dollars through jobs like janitorial work, and construction, then getting paid 1.5 k for single Consulting gig.

Ответить
@hobocraft9987
@hobocraft9987 - 01.02.2024 04:45

He applied to 10 jobs in one night, while this is admirable, again he has an enormous advantage of a crazy amount of work experience. He would also have to cut off his qualifications too, to make this a bit more genuine.

Ответить
@hobocraft9987
@hobocraft9987 - 01.02.2024 04:45

While he didn't go fully homeless, he did go fully poor. Living in a trailer park is pretty close to the bottom, however it is not rock bottom.

He still had a phone that was connected to the internet the entire time, this is a huge fucking privilege and cannot be overstated. This is both a status symbol, and a product of stability. However, it can be said that today, Obama phones offset this greatly, even so Obama phones are only allowed for certain people, so this offset isn't negated entirely.

Ответить
@hobocraft9987
@hobocraft9987 - 01.02.2024 04:41

Okay, he has carry over privilege. He still had the attitude and appearance of a rich man, which again is different than simply a mental shift. That young man would be much less likely to help him out, had he been dehydrated with dirt under his fingernails. He didn't even spend a single night sleeping outside, and there are a lot of these more invisible factors of privilege that people like to gloss over when doing something like this.
