Be 8yrs and did not feel it go in at all (a crochet hook) then I seen it when gathering supplies to go to bed and it wouldn’t move. That’s when I lost it!! Daddy panicked 😱. It just liked an in in if that he could have pushed it out the side and be fine. 👎 he gave a big jerk with the hook 🪝 and it pull my nerve out!! I’m 53 and it’s been numb to this day and damaged burns etc.

I did hat once, screwed my index finger, left hand to the barn door. Luckily I was still holding the drill and managed to get it in reverse. I was all alone, wood have been a long day otherwise.

Why would you even want all those hospital bills for a screw that's not even all the way through your finger, or even in the bone? You could've unscrewed it yourself.

Simple… You drill a screw into your finger, you drill it back out yourself.

That poor kid stepped on a catfish barb or spine, you can tell by the curve. It looks like a pectoral spine and the attached bone is called the opercula. This was from a partial skeleton, not a live fish. Hard to remove because they have barbs on the spine that are angled down. I can say from personal experience that it REALLY hurts to step on one especially if it is alive because they contain a painful venom.

I was the lead first aid provider at an industrial factory and was called to remove a nail that was stuck in a finger. Turns out the nail was power driven through three fingers. Hospital ER wouldn’t remove it. The guy had to go to a hand surgeon to remove it. Surgeon took an X-ray and the doctor just took a clamp and pulled it out. Never hit bone!

He boy with bone in his foot its from a skate. Like a stingray but brown in color the tail has a sreated bon on it and covered in a black slim lon live ones. This one had to have died and separated from the carcus for him to pick it up in his foot. Notice the Dr. Was careful to keep the bacteria isolated. The boy will be fighting to keep his foot for a while. If he dont loose some of his foot he will be lucky

Poor kid, must have freaked him out. I hate bare feet unless it’s on the beach or my grass. I’m surprised the guy didn’t unscrew that himself. I’d be embarrassed to go to the er over that. Maybe to get it cleaned after. Too bad they didn’t have camera phones back when lawn darts came out.

The dude with the screw needs try to up his pain tolerance. I've done this twice and both went through, hit reverse and backed it out just like they did (lots of loud cussing involved but no ER bill.. Went and got a tetanus shot at the clinic. Now fish books are a whole other experience, barbed hooks need lidocaine.

The first one is like stepping on Lego’s but worse ouch!!! I know he’s sedated some and probably can’t feel it much but he handled that pretty well

all three wounds were puncture wounds. you do not take anything that has punctured the body out. you secure, and move the victim to the hospital. 99% of people don't know major and minor artories, so going to the hospital were good choices. 1st injury is from a sea creature. there could've been venom and people not know. second can cause motor function issues with that finger due to the mutiple nerves in hands and fingers. third was a wire that was in the knee. local range of movement would be limited while the leg heals.

And these people went to the hospital...Doesn't anyone know basic first aid anymore? wasting resources that could be used for real emergencies...
