Traded in my 2018 Camry Hybrd for a Tesla Model 3 this year. Was wanting a Toyota EV but not even close to a the Tesla M3 after test driving each. No real comparision.

Hybrid makes so much more sense especially as competition for limited power generation increases from AI/datacenters.

EV's ARE NOT THE FUTURE!
EV manufacturers will be BUST in record time. EV"s pollute as much as fossil fuel cars but Governments are in denial but will soon see their folly. People want reliable safer cars using petrol & diesel, not time wasting charging times and rapid depreciation. Toyota will be a survivor whereas most others are like lemmings going over a cliff. PORSCHE TAYCAM ev depreciates faster than purchasers can pay off loans! Ford lightning pick ups are taking root in dealers car parks, likewise GM , VW, BMW etc etc all losing fortunes. How much will a solid state battery cost to replace?
Estimates of future demand is just like sucking your finger and putting it in the air, predictions ate already notoriously bad at predicting anything true. Toyota will be the wiinners and many well known major marks will collapse. TOYOTA HAS ADAPTED TO WHAT PEOPLE WANT! ¹try getting it right!

No mention on how Volvo has done a complete backflip on their transition to 100% EV for all future models… so maybe Toyota are already ahead of the competition?

Toyota build the best petrol, diesel cars, trucks in the world.
