I was born with a cleft lip and palate back in 1995, and honestly, unless you look hard, you can't even tell I had it. ONLY issue I have is I've stuttered my entire life. Not sure if it's from that or just randomly happened. I can only imagine what they can do now in 2023.

I had a cleft lip palate. My first operation was successful but my second operation (palate) wasn't. So now, I'm 20 years old. And maybe denture is the only way to cover the hole inside. I hope I can still speak fluently like others. That's my biggest insecurity in life.

I was born with cleft lip and nose but surgery is not successful and I am about now 21 years😥😪

I'm 19 years old and an incoming freshman this coming SY 2021-2022. I was born with cleft lip palate.The first surgery in our local went wrong so my parents take me to the capital of our country, Philippines. Supposedly, I still have one more surgery to go but my parents have no longer enough money to aid the finance so we didn't go.Sometimes, I want to blame them for being irresponsible parent but still, I'm thankful that this things had happened to me. The great companion I have for almost 20 years taught me the most valuable lesson. I learned to be a hero on my own, stand on my own, and I won't be brave enough if I still continue doubting myself.

This cleft lip palate just add some pressure to me what course should I take. I wish that I can be a great surgeon all over the world so that I can do surgeries for babies having like this condition. I know how does it felt like to be the center of attraction wherever we are and whenever so I won't let future babies suffer just like me. They should've be treated well for their better future. That dream of mine seems so impossible because of my condition rn.

I'm still hoping 100% that one day, I will also move freely as a normal person. Wherein, I can speak loudly to advocate people, and encourage PWDs to be more braver and stay stronger.
