As a previous android user who has just bought an iPhone 15, the lack of a back button is hampering my quick navigation tremendously...
ОтветитьThey should copy android, and let you swipe from edge of screen either side to go back. Pixel.
Ответитьwhy is there no back button on iphone😢
ОтветитьTRASHHHHHHHHHHHHHH no menu button, no back button, no apps button I switch to Iphone 14 and I am soooooooooooooo damn sad, sooooooo many swipe swipe swipe .. im so tired........ with android you click 2 buttons or 1 button and thats it NO SWIPING
ОтветитьThey can simply give pinch to back, just like android
Ответитьi guess Chowdhury never heard word "used to"
ОтветитьI just switched to iphone and without knowing about this problem I 'discovered' it after one day. What am I doing wrong? What is missing, what don't I know yet?? But no, it is just apple, there is no back button OMG?!
Ответитьthat Imran Chaudhri guy is so wrong
Ответитьso thanks to the Imran Chaudri's idea, 70% of population using android
ОтветитьThey're never gonna implement an universal way to get back. The biggest problem are the developer which don't follow the Apple guidelines and we all know it, but switching from and Android to an iPhone i think even native apps are so uncomfortable: I'm right handed (like most of the people in the world) and the totality of the gestures are from left to right, it's just really bad, my hand is on the right side of the phone. On Android of course you can swipe from both sides to trigger the gesture to go back. Wish they'll address this once for all
ОтветитьBack buttons look ugly end of conversation
ОтветитьMore unreliable? Sorry, but I absolutely love the back button on Android. I trust that feature much more than one button. Oh, and not being able to shut down apps I know for a fact are running in the background I hate as well. Like, why? It’s a simple feature that allows the user to shut down previously opened apps like you would do for tabs in a web browser.
ОтветитьHow dumb u gotta be to get confused by a back button. U anyways use the top left corner one. Its frustrating to stretch my finger to top left . Plus im a righty i dont wanna stretch my thumb to the left edge. Android gives me the 3 customisation options. I like swipe up from right lower bottom.
ОтветитьIt's typical apple engineering-- not designed with you in mind. Remember when Jobs said he won't put a flashlight on a phone? Same stupidity. How about no comma button on main keyboard but there's an emoji button instead. Oh and no photos button on iMessage main screen they decided to put an apple store button instead that you can't remove. What a joke.
I'm switching back to Android. I tried for my kids sake but these things are brutal.
Wait, does the iPhone not have a swipe from the edge to go back? I thought Android copied that from them...
ОтветитьIt's the number 3 reason why I'm not use iphone anymore after can't share media via Bluetooth and it's has no external memory card slot
ОтветитьAbsolute bs by that Indian dude but whatever
ОтветитьImran Chaudhri is dumb.
ОтветитьHope that person who suggested that iPhone don't need a back button because of trust issues and will create confusion is out. He's too brilliant that he only understand himself but never the user that struggle how to go 🔙. He just created what the people is scared of when browsing on phone... TRUST ISSUES AND CONFUSION.
ОтветитьI made a paper iPad 31 and it has a back button
ОтветитьThe back button on android has sigle purpose it takes to the previous page nothing more nothing less if the back button quit the app it means your previous page was not in that app what does it mean when you say the back button on android is unpredictable
It's simple apple just wanted to complicate something that is really very simple like going back
I'm bit confused on why you would even need a back button outside of browsers, there's no point to a dedicated button whatsoever. Never used it on my android tablet, never met anyone who used it on their phones.
ОтветитьI really don't know how would a Back Button confuses users, it's a very simple and convenient gesture to have. Nevertheless, I love watching how people explaining on what iOS doesn't have or lack of in order to convince themselves that it's still a good thing not to have it. 😂
ОтветитьOne button is easier than several because there really is no confusion on which button to press if there is only one.
ОтветитьThere are many idiotic decisions in iOS but this is one of the worst.
ОтветитьBecause they suck
ОтветитьIts garbage, having to reach my finger all the way to the top is inefficient and uncomfortable.
ОтветитьDamn... i can't trust my Android at all
ОтветитьSwitched to Apple several times in my life not by my own choice (work devices) and the feeling that Apple products are made with the idea of their users being idiots has never left me. It feels so underestimating to use an Apple product - from not having a simple back button, or having all photos dumped into one big messy pile called "camera roll" with no options to organize it into folders, or cameras with no manual settings, or forcing a stupid auto-correct that changes your words and a cursor that can never be put exactly where you need it in the text, or wallets that don't accept anything but bank cards, or having dual sim iphones with no option to choose which sim to use before making a call, to relying on a simple passcode to reset your iCloud password or to brick your device in case you forget it... It's an endless list of idiocy packed in an overpriced pretention and hype.
ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьGoof
Ответитьнах она нужна
ОтветитьThe changing function of Android pissed me off!
ОтветитьThat's why I can't use the iPhone I have, it just feels outdated compared to Android, bad menu navigation, you can't even edit lyrics in the middle of a world instantly, it's just crappy software.
ОтветитьI love how you present same action (going back) as three separate actions and then say it's confusing... smh
ОтветитьWhat the hell are you talking about?? Neither Android nor multitasking in iOS existed in 2007
ОтветитьI miss the button
ОтветитьCuz you swipe from left to right
Ответитьbecause adding a button cost more
ОтветитьIt baffles me how people wanted/want a whole another BUTTON just to go back. Just press the damn "back" or "X" button on apps bruh
ОтветитьYou go A -> B -> C -> D and then you press the back button. Why would you expect it to go anywhere else than C?
ОтветитьSUMMARISED via ChatGPT:
- The iPhone doesn't have a back button, which is standard on most Android devices.
Steve Jobs originally wanted to include a back button, but Imran Chaudhri, a Human Interface designer, argued against it.
- Chaudhri believed that a home button that served a single purpose, returning users to the home screen, would give users confidence in navigating the device, while a back button could cause confusion.
- Chaudhri favoured a software solution where every app had a back shortcut at the top left of the screen, allowing users to trust their device and quickly build confidence using it.
- Jobs' original thinking was based on the iPod, which had five buttons for navigation, including a back button labeled 'menu.'
- Chaudhri's approach went on to redefine the entire smartphone industry.
I’m so glad apple doesn’t have the android buttons. That’s the most annoying part of android to me. It clutters the screen, and I feel like I can’t rest my finger at all less I accidentally press the bottom Menu.
Ответитьandroid sucks!
ОтветитьChaudhri is clearly dumb idi0t 🤣
ОтветитьOh my god apple you are great
ОтветитьWhat a dumb thing
ОтветитьAndroids have a home button too tho… the reason why iPhone doesn’t have a back button option is because Apple is weird like that. Living in their own world. It’s obvious that is a UI design flaw. There’s so many benefits from having a slide from any edge of the phone back button iOS users don’t understand.
ОтветитьThis is the only thing I hate about my iPhone. Yes several apps allow you to "back" with a swipe from the left to the right (which is incredibly stupid and uncomfortable compared to the Android solution)
Wish they would include the gesture command android is using for this.
