ОтветитьI'm Australian and lived in Mexico for a couple of years. Australians and Mexicanos are both quite hard and stoic people. But, when it comes to emotionalism and romance we're polar opposites. Personally, I like American men, because unlike Australian men, they have more than one emotion per week or month, but unlike Mexicanos, they're not having an emotion every hour. The biggest difference I noticed between our two cultures was "hierarchy", Mexico is a very, very hierarchical society, whereas in Australia, we're not allowed to admit out loud that there may be a social status difference between a professor and an electrician, let alone behave like there's a difference. I'm sure I offended many, many Mexicans with my lack of appropriate respect in one direction and perhaps seemed mocking by my undue respect in the other direction.
ОтветитьVery similar with my Balkan people! Also you have “Tequila” we here have “Rakija” ! A lot of people grew up here in the Balkans watching Telenovelas(very, very popular just like Colombian and others) and learned a language, like myself :) Greetings ♥️
ОтветитьDrug dealers and sombrero is the most popular mexican stereotype.
ОтветитьAs someone who's lived in the mide east all my life I can't help but notice how similar the cultures are (except for the drinking part lol) even some people look similar from both regions
ОтветитьLos Angeles wouldn't be Los Angeles without Mexicans.🧐
-2pac
Great Food and Authentic Cooking what is not to Love.
Okay as a Mexican, I hate telenovelas- I might not see their beauty rn, but who knows, and for people who don’t know, my dad told me (born in Mexico) and my mom (her dad is born in Mexico) both told me kids are allowed to buy beer and cigarettes without a parent present
ОтветитьWhat is the deal with Mexican men who grew up in Mexico and prostitutes?
ОтветитьOnly a minority wants to live in the US the poorest and uneducated. They do have a very hard life and sadly no many opportunities neither.
Ответить1. Sadly a lot of people do learn from telenovelas how to react to emotion and yes, it's a lot of drama.
2. No, not all Mexican dream of going to the USA, mostly rural Mexicans, if that was true, the border would be very very complicated, we are over 125 million.
3. I actually think more women are machista than men, but it is improving a lot in the cities mainly
4. Yes, that still happens
5. No, we are not drug dealers or gang members, only a small amount of people are, but they are enough to be a problem and noisy enough that its more noticeable, and that something that amazes the press worldwide.
6. Yes we can't live without spicy food
7. the Hollywood stereotype
I found most mexican people Ive met to be very hard working , family orientated people . And most women from most societies/cultures have women . girls as having very stricter rules in families. But its there because women tend to be victimized more than men /boys.
Ответить"El otro lado "
ОтветитьI don't want to sound negative or come across like a hater here, but half of my family is Mexican, I'm living in Spain right now, and plan on moving to Mexico within the next 1-3 years.
And it seems to me that the interviewees in this video are a wildly unrepresentative sample of the Mexican populous as they think and are today. They all strike me as urban, metropolitan, college educated, middle or upper middle class white collar workers.
Should have included a ranchero or two, one of the hundreds of hopeful, but low level unknown young boxers in Mexico city, a bus driver maybe, a checkout lady from a grocery store...
They are not in the video where they say in the video where Mexicans are a bit sexist and what I mean is that as children we are taught roles that women stay home clean cook and all that while men go out and work and come home to food ready and a home clean
ОтветитьSo with the part fleeing to be honest is more myth than reality nowadays. Many people they don't even want to go to the US to live there or another countries. That mentality is kind of slowly changing over the years.
ОтветитьMexicans are gods of King of Fighters
ОтветитьMexicans work harder than any white person. And I am half American half Mexican so before you call racist.
ОтветитьThat first myth lmao 🤣...that is definitely true, you don't know dramatic until your extended family gets into a prolonged fight over the naming of a newborn child (true story).
ОтветитьThe one thing I will say is that their culture’s view of women sucks major ass. A huge majority of the men that catcall me have almost always been Mexicans. I literally almost pulled my gun out in a Boot Barn today because a group of Mexican guys were catcalling me while I was minding my own business shopping.
ОтветитьDamn donna
ОтветитьWe're not sexist, we just know what's good for society. That's why our kids don't become drug addicts or shoot up schools.
ОтветитьThe stereotypes I have of them are short, fat, ugly, and stupid.
ОтветитьI wish it was a safe country to visit though :(
ОтветитьThose stereotypes are applicable to Mexican immigrants and their decendants.
A True Mexican born to the lowest to the upper class, will never recognize that he or she watch a Telenovela, Mexican Said "Televisa te idiotiza" Televisa Make you stupid is commonly acepted by the Mayority of Mexican, I live in a rural area so I can said it's true even in Pueblos.
Watching Telenovelas is a closet activity, if you make public, you are saying that you are uneducated, low class and unsofisticated amongst conservatives. but also ignorant, brainless mass among the leftist.
In The other hand, if you recognize that you watch anime, even if not DBZ o Saint Seiya, instead you enjoy Candy Candy or Sailor Moon you become likeable on Machismo even a Straight Man can publicly post..
And the list go and on...
Mexican people don't like smart people. Especially boys/men
I should know from a life time of bad experience, they prefer hyper macho or strong silent types. Comes directly from the deeply rooted Catholic cultural influence.
Im from the USA and there’s a Mexican Dream😅…maybe I will come there if my relationship with my Mexican boyfriend works out 🥰🤩
ОтветитьI understand that us from the USA asking why are Latinos so short to Latinos from central America like in Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala but to ask Mexicans this same question? In states like Chihuahua, Sonora and Baja California I think the Mexicans from their can ask why are you white Americans of the USA so short? Tall Mexicans are everywhere in these northern states and look as common as the Europeans when it comes to tall height in Europe's Scandinavian countries like Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
ОтветитьSpent 2 weeks in Mexico travelling to many areas with my fiancé who's Mexican and whilst I was there I felt warmth and welcoming from every Mexican I encountered, i did not experience no Narcos or crime, to me it's the most beautiful country I've ever visited, the culture and people are so polite and lovely
Ответитьwhy be ashamed?
be dramatic
be ambitious about living someplace better
be a chauvinistic gentleman
be adventurist in food
I'm mexican and the most constant stereotype I hear is
You don't look mexican just because I have green eyes and I'm not brown
People expect all Mexicans to look like the stereotypes on movies
They are perfect
ОтветитьHmm. So you are all related to drug dealers.
ОтветитьAwesome 😎! Thank you 🙏!!
ОтветитьEvery American of Mexican decent has to tell everyone he meets how proud he is to be "a Mexican". Even though he was not born in Mexico, he still thinks he is a Mexican. Never even been to Mexico either. He understands nothing of Mexican politics and thinks living in Mexico is better than living in the USA. He also blames the plight of American Mexicans on the Anglo, the German or anybody who even looks white. And God forbid the kid is half Mexican and looks like he is from Spain or some other European country. Fights all day long and bad treatment by so called "Mexicans" showing "their Pride". These videos show us all that Mexico is a very complex country filled with many other ethnicities that people living in America known little or nothing about. There cultural issues that are unique to Mexico just like with any other country. Good job.
ОтветитьMexicans over all are kind and welcoming people! They will help you even if they don’t have much. Their food is the best!! I love Mexican food, I eat it every day!
ОтветитьMexicans are such a loving and kind people. If you show up to their house they are feeding you and not telling you “it’s dinner time so…” Meaning time for you to leave. No way! They share their food. Such a beautiful and friendly people. No racism at all in most of them. They love all people and the Mexican men are so devoted to their families and supporting them.

ОтветитьHey everyone! We're back to weekly episodes! 🤗And we're gonna do our best to stay weekly. Hope you liked the video. Tell me - which, in your opinion is the stereotype that was the most TRUE and one that was the most FALSE in this video?
