Keychron K3 | 3 Month Review - still the best wireless minimal mechanical keyboard?

Honestly, the battery life alone gives me a big NO factor. Too bad, I quite liked it.

Any similar keyboards with nice Brown switch and an actual battery life?

I've had my k7 for about 3 days and the Bluetooth has been an absolute nightmare.....

Are Gateron Low Profile 2.0 switches better in typing feel as compared to the 1.0 version?

How about Spacebar key? Doesn't it start wiggle to the sides? is it good for gaming?

I just got the K3 Pro delivered and I'm honestly super impressed with how good it feels to type on it. I'm not big into keyboards at all and I kindoff bought this thing on impulse since I wanted a keyboard I could take with me to work. I was using a Corsair gaming type keyboard, which had served me for 6+ years without any issues whatsoever I must add, and it's just no comparing the 2. Not even in the same realm as eachother. And on top of all that the Corsair keyboard was quite a bit more expensive then what I got the K3 for!

Coming from a Magic Keyboard, the two-week battery life and the slow reconnect (after sleeping) are absolute show stoppers. That said, I love this keyboard for a wired solution.

What do you think about the black optical switches?

I would never buy a wireless keyboard or mouse.

I've the same bluetooth problems with the V2. Mine is basically unusable on Bluetooth mode. I do not recommend this to anyone.

I bought a K2v2 version but I found the the bigger keys like space bar backspace caps and shift keys is much softer and non-clicky than other normal keys.

I received my K3 v2 about a week ago, and I noticed the bluetooth issue right away.
I think that whenever there are more than 2 overall bluetooth devices connected (including the K3) it starts getting crazy. Like keys are “stuck” and a very long delay between typing and the there’s an output on the screen.
And of course the issue where it takes a few seconds for it to come back alive after a sleep.
I’m super disappointed with it, I paid 135$ (shipment included) for this sh**t.
When it’s wired it works perfect.

I've got this and not really impressed with it. The buttons are too cramped ..most likely from the row of buttons on the right side where the light button and page end /home keys are. MX keys mini is much more comfortable

I've been using the K3v2 version for about 4 months now, not had any bluetooth issues so I'm wondering if that is something they've fixed. I don't use the backlight so the battery life has been much better than I had expected - easily 2 weeks on a full charge. My only issue and it's not a major one is the ABS keys are getting shiny, but I guess that is to be expected. Still a great keyboard overall especially as the v2 has a few additional improvements.

If you like the K3 you should try the Nuphy Air75. It's low profile and 84 keys like the K3. But it has an aluminum body, and 3 different connection types: 2.4ghz, Bluetooth, and wired.

Hi, Mark! Is there any way to check the battery level of the keyboard while charging? Or what’s the indicator that it’s full charged? I’m planning to buy this for my mac book pro and the USB A -> dongle -> Macbook Pro setup isn’t ideal for me. 😆

Does the keyboard come with a USB-C cable?

I've got the same issue on Bluetooth. Wired no issues though.

I got a keychron k2, my bluetooth would stop working, and when I plug it in, whatever I typed will appear as if it was stored.
I also find the k2 way too high.

do you prefer the keychron or your magic keyboard?

I have the Keychron K3 Version 2 Nordic ISO(correct?) hot-swap brown switches. I also have the same issue when the bluetooth signal is lost after i am away for a few minutes. I hope that if i disable sleep mode the issue will dissapear. Battery will drain ofcourse, but it's more annoying to keep reconnecting the keyboard everytime. A perfect keyboard becuase i have two desktops. One for work and one for gaming.

Not sure how to fix it either. A bit dissapointed on that point, overall a great keyboard to my other and also my first mechanical Corsair K95 with brown switches. The version with the ugly Corsair tattoo logo they had for a short time. But the keyboard still works since 2014 with everyday usage. :)

Have you got the v2 yet? Mine's just been dispatched from Keychron, I should have it in about 2 weeks. I also went for the brown switches.

Thank you for the review video! I'm thinking about buying the K3/K7 with brown switches but I'm a bit worried about the actuation force (57g) of it. I'm personally very used to apple magic keyboard with a much lower force. Do you feel fatigue on your fingers when typing a lot?

Which of the switches would you recommend? I tried red switches before but it wasn't my type. So blue or brown in your opinion?

ive just bought the k3v2 red switch and arrived 2 days back...good quality all around and all the hypes, my only complaint is that the rgb light is pretty dim in a well-lit room even at full brightness..
