ОтветитьUsually i use my macbook pro 14 keyboard... recently i bought an external 27inch monitor for me and now thinking to buy a mech keyboard for this setup.... i am thinking on 2 options with brown keys, but one is full height keyboard and the other is low profile one.... , 90% of time i wil ljust type on it so i think low profile would fit me better.... but sometimes i may play some casual games on it.... so wanted to ask, is it ok to play games on low profile mech keyboard like for exmaple keychron k5 pro?
ОтветитьHello did you find some translucent key-caps compatible to this keyboard (K3 Pro) ? If Yes, where can I buy it? Thank you very much . Keep the very good work
ОтветитьThank you for your analysis
Ответитьive been thinking about getting back into mech keyboards, i used to have a kailh blue years ago but i havent used it in that time, i exclusively type on laptops so i figured low profile would be the easiest transition for me
ОтветитьThis video was really functional for me.
ОтветитьLow profile keyboard. I love it all
Ответитьthat was a nicley done introduction to low profile versus normal keyboarding.Wish i found it earlier.
I'll keep an ear our for future videos from you.
I'm totally blind so for me, it's all about feel. Fancy looking keycaps and RGB lighting do nothing but waste my money and battery. I loved the feel of the keychron k6 but it didn't work so well on my laptop
Can the K3 key caps be replaced with a conventional key caps?
ОтветитьLaptop
ОтветитьI've been gaming on my laptop for a long time now, I've had a normal size mechanical keyboard a while back and the hight was a bit bothersome as I've been using a laptop keyboard for a long time, would it be worth picking up a low profile keyboard for gaming? Also if yes what switches should I go for?
Ответитьawesome video genuinely good looks man
Ответитьwhat would be the absolute best keyboard for typing?? should I prefer brown switch (if ys then which one (optical or mechanical))?? should I prefer low profile switch ??
ОтветитьThat was a nicely done introduction to low profile versus normal keyboarding. Wish I found it earlier. I'll keep an ear out for future videos from you.
I'm totally blind so for me, it's all about feel. Fancy looking keycaps and RGB lighting do nothing but waste my money and battery. I loved the feel of the Keychron K6 but it didn't work so well on my lap. Figured I'd try the low profile K3 version 2 and am very pleased with my purchase. The power and OS switches are thankfully easy to feel the positions of at the back of the board. There's still enough key travel for a wonderful tactile feel. I went with red switches because I like the smooth linear action. However, the description of the new Mint and Banana switches sounded interesting so I ordered a set of the mint ones. Glad I went with the hot swapable keyboard so I can experiment relatively safely. Wish there was a keycap set with a slightly rougher texture.
For blind folks like me, there are a couple of flies in the ointment. The worst is that I have no way of finding how much charge my battery has. Short of using an app like Be My Eyes and getting a sighted volunteer to look at the keyboard, there's no way I can tell. Good charging habits are therefore more critical than they should be. I have lots more accessories which either tell me the battery state or report it to the battery widget on the "Today view" on my iPHONE. Wish Keychron would sort that out. With the help of a light detecting app, I managed to turn off the backlighting. Hope it won't come on again without my knowing. The only other worry is that with the floating keycap design, this thing isn't at all water proof. Sure won't be using this anywhere near water outside of a glass that's unlikely to spill.
The typing feel on this board is exeptionally good. Never would have thought that possible without the longer travel of higher switches. Hats off to Keychron for pulling it off so nicely. I think the keycap angle has a lot to do with it.
Alienware low profile cherry mx red keyboard, in the lunar white colour. Got it at a steal second hand. Because of the lesser key travel and light switches, it's extremely easy to make typos which gets annoying, but you adapt to it. It also feels oddly satisfying to type on. Transitioned from a 70% amazon cherry mx brown keyboard, and honestly, I love them both equally. Totally different feels but I must say they both have their own nice feeling while typing on them. I also made about 8-10 typos typing this lol.
ОтветитьGreat review. Thanks. I bought an MX Keys keyboard and tried it for a few weeks. I keep missing keys. I need my old higher profile keyboard.
ОтветитьU talk too slow i had to watch 1.25x speed
Ответитьthank god for x1.5 speed
ОтветитьWatch at 2x speed don't waste your time. I can sleep while this guy is talking
Ответитьcan you convert a normal switch to a low profile switch?
ОтветитьHey man, I'm making a gaming setup using my laptop and a monitor and I'm on the fence between purchasing a high-profile or low-profile keyboard. I've always been using the membrane keyboard on my lap top and have succeeded greatly in games using it, but now that I'm in the market for a gaming keyboard, I'm not sure if I should switch to high-profile. My friends say that it's worth the switch, but it's still a difficult choice.
ОтветитьGreat descriptions of each aspect of the keyboard that really clarify what makes a keyboard different from others.
ОтветитьGreat video! Really good clear info. I understand better which keyboard I think I want to get now! Thanks!!
ОтветитьI've mostly used laptop throughout most of my life, and I'm a bit anxious as this is the first time buying a mechanical keyboard. I actually liked the look of the K2, but hearing how it's chonky kind of led me to buy the K3 instead since I'm more used to a laptop, and I was just looking for a keyboard to replace my laptop + i don't have much table space.
I hope this keyboard doesn't disappoint! I got brown switch as i wanted to try out, and i feel a bit happy that its easily swappable.
Hello. Very useful video. I ordered K3 optical swappable with red switches. It is my first experience with mexhanical keyboard since I am coming from magic keyboard and logitech mx keys keyboard. Do you believe the red switches will match my typing preferences?
ОтветитьQuestion of the day: What kind of keyboard do YOU use on a daily basis? Do you have a conventional or low-profile keyboard?
