Amazing sculpture carved from patterned wood

Love the channel after watching horse sculpture and now this...being from South Africa I have a few of the african snails in my garden.

I'd love to have some cutoffs to make some pens.

Good concept, bad finish. Not worthy of what you ask for.

Love the end result :) I still think the glitter slug is fun, could maybe use the chopped up glitter slug to make a TINY slug for your daughter -- with a colorful shell to go with it!

As an emerging artist whos been watching your videos on and off the past few weeks, i think its very interesting/important how often you freely share the mistakes and mishaps- the equipment failures, personal injury, the sheer volume of "waste" material produced to make one art piece...

I personally find that more insightful/inspirational than the financial info you share. But the money stuff is also super important to talk about 😅

I love (LOVE!) the snail shell. Just love it. However, I wasn't crazy about the first snail body. Also wasn't crazy about the second one. I think if you'd kept with the clear and just a touch of gold mica and gold glitter, you would have had a more natural looking snail that reflected Charlie a little better. That said, only one person needs to love it and want it, and I hope that person finds this piece and gives it a good home! Great job! As far as pricing, you also got some cutting boards and pens from the patterned wood. Would these prices not be deducted from Charlie's materials since you'd be making a profit from them, too? Not criticizing at all - just trying to get a better feel for the pricing.

One thing I have learned in pricing with products and services in business is don't try to be the cheapest buy. Price your products and services to the level of expertise and quality atm. Increase your prices as your skills improve. If you have a difficult time keeping up with orders, raise your prices to accommodate your business demands.

Do cutting boards sell well?

I think a carved BEAR, FISH OR DUCKS. PEOPLE BUY WOODEN DUCKS AND LOONS.

Be mindful of snails in Hawaii. Some are carriers of rat lungworm disease. Don't touch em don't eat em and don't eat things they touched without cooking it

This Slug Mummy video delivered a great deal of information far more than I was expecting. I preferred the second casting.
As a former custom high end furniture maker. I find myself agreeing with the comments high lighting the misalignment issues. The Slug Mummy is a stunning piece from a distance but upon closer inspection the misalignment is disappointing. Errors like that would never leave my shop. I'm not trying to be hateful just constructive.
My mentor Greg Radley always told me never to be afraid to attempt making exceptional pieces. The general processes are the same however the end results are miles apart and your customers know the difference and have the disposable income to consider the purchase.

No offense, bro, but I think for epoxy artwork it’s a little too much probably would be worth that if it was glass or metal for the slug part or even full wood and use a different pattern for the slug but the shell is cool but epoxy just cheapens it I find.
