This was a great news documentary by ABC 7 about their witness to 9/11. I had no idea Nina Pineda was one of the women on the ground. I can't imagine the fear these people felt seeing the twin towers come down right before their eyes. I'm glad the WTC in NYC was eventually rebuilt even if it's just one tower they call the Freedom Tower. Someday, I may visit NYC just to see the new WTC up close in person and to pay respect to those who lost their lives on 9/11 at the 9/11 Memorial Museum where the original towers stood.

It’s sad what happened on 9/11 but Americans only experienced it once. The Middle East experiences it everyday . America caused 9/11

I was in my kitchen in Europe. The radio was on. Suddenly, the presenter said a plane had crashed into the world trade centre. Having visited the U.S. a year earlier, I knew how tall the building was and presumed a small aircraft had hit it. Then the guy said "that's far too big for a small craft". I ran to put on the TV and watched. My daughter came in and then the 2nd plane hit. I said "This could be the start of WW3. We watched for hours, all the time thinking about those in the building and the 1st responders. A tragic day.

I think I watch these videos to make sense of happened.

That morning I reported for work on 7th Avenue and 43rd Street, nearly 4 miles from the Twin Towers. I stayed until 9 pm or 9:30 pm. Went home to NJ on the ferry.

There's something inside me that makes me grateful for that distance.

Not that the dust, smoke, and general terror hadn't made it's way to Midtown.

This is one of the better 9/11 documentaries you'll see especially if you're from the New York area and have seen these people on ABC7 for 20+ years.

How can we watch this and not ask ourselves two questions: Did we adaquetly find and punish EVERYONE responsible for this; and ANYONE THAT THREATENS us with terrorist actions, or "declares war" on this country will not survive.
Like a criminal pulling a gun in a cop in a dark ally: once you do that, you need to know that your life is now forfiet and you will not win. You might shoot that cop and get away, but you need to know that you are now the walking dead and you will be found and you will pay a price.
I feel like we need to take a lesson from the Israelis in this. After WW2 they searched for the Nazis and never stopped, nowhere in the world would they be safe and not hunted down and brought to justice.
This needs to be our mindset.

The Rightous Justice of America must never rest until everyone is found and executed and anyone that is tied to al quada is found and returned to dust.
We, as Americans might think that we need or are called to forgive iur enemies , but that is no so. We (if we think as Christians) can forgive those that repent, those that ask for forgiveness and turn away from sin.
Like the person that raped and murdered your 12 year old daughter does not deserve your forgiveness; not when they laugh in your face as they now start raping your 9 year old.
No, the souls of those 😢daughters were crying out and screaming, in pain and terror as they were being thrust into everlasting darkness, and you will feel the wrath of the rightous parent as my boot grinds you into dust, sending you to hell for what you did.
Never, at least until all those that did this, and their whole generation are dead, should we even consider forgivness.

This should be MANDATORY watching for all 8th graders in the country. They should all watch it right before the trip to DC that they normally take, than they sound detour and drive past the Pentagon when they get there.

This is really well done. It doesn't understate the heroism of the first responders or disregard the lives lost. It simply tells the psychological effect it had on the first hand witnesses of those who were there to document history for posterity.

How could the USA government think staging this act would justify illegal wars in foreign land. ISLAM is not your enemy but the hypocrites keeping us from the truth. The most protected airspace in the world suffers this, big names having canceled their place on the flights almost like they new, Israeli workmen seen in building, specialists stating only C4 could melt the steel structure of the buildings not jet fuel. I was 10 years old, thousands of kilometers away in Budapest, Hungary. I was writing my homework at a nice lady’s house who used to look after me and help me study after school each day until my mom was done at work.
She came to pick me up and she was completely in shock, she told us what she heard on the radio, so we switched on the TV. We saw the second plane hit live.
As a 10 year old, even so far away, I was so scared that the world as I know it is over and I am not safe… it was a terrible feeling.

Great, heartfelt documentary, which clearly shows several airplane parts. That should forever silence those individuals who persist in posting crackpot conspiracy theories that 'there were no planes', etc, which are not only total lies but also extremely hurtful and disrespectful to the dead and their grieving families. May God grant eternal rest and life to the innocent victims of the murderous 9/11attacks. 🙏✝️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My PTSD started in New as a New York and haunted me into combat deployments as I witnessed more horrific deaths and destruction my war started in New York City I spent time recovering from physical combat injuries spent time in A coma however my mind and emotional scars are for life we lost so much our new Yorkers paid the ultimate price our fire fighters police EMT so many now sick suffering from cancer and other illness from that day
