learn something new, coding is going to die sooner than you think...
ОтветитьI am studying informatics engineering can someone recommend something to learn I mean ( web development , mobile development or something else )
ОтветитьI always get a laugh out of just how many "influencers" "utube content providers" etc., in the Tech/programming sphere are taken seriously. I mean, just pause for one moment. Why is this presenter/content here. It's here to sell something, be that a product or act as click bait whatever. Sooooo they are NOT telling you the truth, in any event. Even when someone says they are going to share "the ugly TRUTH ...." blah, blah blah. And as for the "look Ive been coding for 15 years, 17 years, since 2006, since 2012" whatever. There are those that wrote their first piece of program code in 1984 or before and are still writing code. Yes might mean changing from DCL, PL/1, COBOL, C, C++, Java, Rust and on and on but that is just the nature of it. As an engine mechanic, you better be keeping yourself up to date just the same. Here's the real truth. Programming, is just another job. If your lucky you'll enjoy it, most of the time. Certainly some of the time you'll hate it and hate all the stuff that goes along with it. Change Control, Access Control, code reviews, Agile, Waterfall and all the other flavors of the month management brings in. What you will realize, in about 40 or 50 years, is 1) the more things change the more they stay the same, 2) vanity, vanity, all is vanity and 3) this to shall pass. Good luck with whatever your career (a.k.a. job) ends up being.
ОтветитьIf you don't have a CS degree and/or experience, your chances are not looking good. Applicants who don't meet these criteria very rarely get selected for a first interview, even for entry-level/junior openings. Self-taught candidates and bootcamp grads need a miracle to get a job in programming nowadays. Of course plenty of people will tell you that you have solid chances, as long as you have a good portfolio and so on, but these people are either trying to sell you something (their course or a bootcamp program) or they benefit from it in different ways. When employers get more than 100 resumes (sometimes a LOT more than that) for 1 opening, applicants who don't have relevant degrees or experience get immediately flushed, that's the harsh reality of programming in 2023, beware the fairy tales of self-taught programmers, bootcamp grads, and snake oil salesmen...
ОтветитьI am almost 40 and still coding while almost of my friends are already in functional fields
Ответитьbros chromosome must have fell out
ОтветитьFinding a coding job is a nightmare applied over 200+ times and have only gotten 4 responses.
ОтветитьI'd love to learn to code but I don't have a computer
ОтветитьI literally gave up because of chat gpt , i feel veey empty cause i really wanted to be a software developer or a game developer but this thing , this ai thing makes it seem like a dead end.
ОтветитьIt's bit like marriages. Some just don't work out.
ОтветитьI've been working with programming since 2016, I started college in 2010 and left in 2015, it took me a long time to admit that, but today I see that a career as a programmer is not for me, for years I fooled myself into thinking I was enjoying it, today I I face reality.
ОтветитьI don't usually have issues with clickbait, but your thumbnail is a straight up lie. Never watching your channel again. I saw the whole video, and you guys have nothing interesting to say, but you certainly made sure to spend a third of it plugging your classes.
I have no issues with clickbait when exaggerated, just not a complete lie, and I have no issue with padded videos as long as there is some substance to them. But this video was more of a waste of time than just straight up memes.
click bait?
ОтветитьIf programming was being taken over by ai for example u want to be a web dev and ai is taken over that the websites willl always look the same if it was human the it will look the way u want it ai will never take programming they should suck batteries 😂😂
ОтветитьYou can tell he's a business major at heart because half of the video is a commercial using tactics that would make a used car salesman blush. It also blows my mind that people think a course written by somebody who has only ever been a junior level programmer making 35k will somehow be better than any of the free content out there made by professors, industry experts, and world class teachers.
ОтветитьDude, get to the point. It's impossible to watch this click-baity crap.
Ответитьjust learn to co..Oh shit.
ОтветитьHi guys, i started learning Java. I took an Udemy course and i don't have really much time for learning. I can spend a 1-2 hours every day. If you have some good advice, i appreciate it. and, can someone answer me, when i will know how to code? when i will be able to find a job?
ОтветитьYour twitter account brother
ОтветитьHey Tuomas, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I loved your videos. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts for you?
ОтветитьI had myself stuck with this TBH, this definitely boosted my already downed morale. Thanx brother.
Enthusiast Python Dev
Good to hear
ОтветитьJason woke up that day and chose war
ОтветитьI believe AI will just makes us faster not replace us
ОтветитьThis was beautiful❤
ОтветитьChatGpt is for developers what a cooking robot is for a chef, whatever it makes, its quality will directly depend on the quality, the imagination and speceficity of the instructions the real chef gives it, otherwise you just get a frozen pizza
Ответитьalhamdulillah dog got rekt
ОтветитьProgramming will continue as long as humanity lives. Human invention and new ideas will not end. Programming will move forward and we will see new languages appear in the field of programming.
ОтветитьPlease make a video about this:
‘Everyone is a programmer’ with generative A.I., says Nvidia chief'
Nvidia’s Chief Executive Jensen Huang says “everyone can be a programmer” as generative artificial intelligence will understand multiple forms of input, including speech. (CNBC, MAY 30 2023)
What do you think?
Wow! A crossover!
Better than Marvel/DC!
:)

ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks for having me 🙏
ОтветитьAwesome! All my fave coders🤩
ОтветитьEveryone should try it as it is cool skill,
Yeah, market is no longer that hot and it is harder to get a job.
I personally came into IT 1,5 years ago.
I am so glad I made this switch.
My advice is it is still worth it, but try it on a side first.
Some people find is soooo boring, so try it on your own first.
Also IT consist not only coding, some people don't stand it and switched to administration for example
How do I know if programming is for me?
I am a BSIT 2nd year college students from Philippines. And why i chose BSIT? I dunno keep telling to myself when i was a kid that im gonna take IT. I dont have any idea about programming since when i was 1st year. But now i already know which path i will take which is Web Dev. We dont have a subject about it yet but by doing research and self study i learn the basics only HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT. But the problem is i cant do it consistently learning because theres a lot of distractions and problems that I fucking facing right now, Lets say the universe seem not cooperating and it keeps pushing me away to not to study web dev but i am supper willing to learn or study web dev. And now im thinking to give up and pursue something but i dont because i believe these shit that im facing right now is just temporary. Any advice guys? I know its hard pursuing programming path but im willing to sacrifice things. I want that fucking mony im not gonna lie. Money is money and also i wanna build something related to programming haha lol, im so ambitious but its fine.
Yooh you recorded this in three different countries 😂😂😂so cool 😎
ОтветитьWrong. The exponential curve that AI is currently on will not see it serve as an unpaid intern for very long. Give this system 3-5 years and it will replace most coders. Unless you can learn to code in a very short space of time, by the time you learn - you will almost certainly be too late.
ОтветитьNice video, keep up the interesting and informative content!
ОтветитьCan you do a video on getting a job, after graduating in software engineering im 3 months in 100+ applications and only 2 interviews
