This problem is going to get worse with the advent of artificial intelligence. And there's no plan for what to do when the economy no longer needs the output of half of the citizens.

It made me think about my life. I have very poor motor coordination, to the point where I can't play most of the famous sports competitively, I have terrible handwriting, an unproductive routine and laziness, and I also struggle with addictions.
I always thought I was a case of low intelligence, but despite this, I got good grades at school, the teachers even said I was intelligent, but I feel I don't deserve to be considered because everything was so easy and meaningless. It just confuses me. I don't know what to do, I feel like I'm no good at anything. I lie down and rot while my former classmates who called me intelligent are all at university, but I feel I can't do the same because university seems too difficult for me, it seems too much for my intelligence. Sometimes I get propositional logic questions wrong and that makes me feel as dumb as a rock. I think I can't do anything productive in society, I can't contribute, it makes me feel like a nuisance and a dead weight to my relatives. I feel ashamed for being so dumb, for making my parents spend time and resources raising me.

There’s also other factors that hold people back in life other than having a low iq, obviously physical disabilities but also having social anxiety and other anxieties or mental illnesses that make it harder for those people to function properly in society. So low intelligence isn’t the only thing to blame. Btw there’s many intelligent people that work lower end jobs simply because that’s what they like doing or that’s what they’re use to, and there’s no need to discourage others for having those jobs.

That point about it being a race, this is why it’s important to restrict the mobility of minorities. There’s a twofold benefit: first you get to the dominance first, and second, you can claim from the composition of the hierarchy that minorities aren’t intelligent.

In our current society, I suspect that IQ is mostly viewed as a taboo subject, especially by those on the political Left who so often have controlling power in many areas (and not just in politics!). Why? Because they generally subscribe to the silly politically correct trend that gave us "Everybody Gets a Trophy". I fully understand the positive outlook of being sensitive to the needs of the handicapped or “challenged”, but that is not my point. This is also the same power group that really has wound us backwards in so many areas. A good example is this huge demanding trend called ESG, and DEI. What these movements really push is a form of racism: the goal of filling many top positions based on skin color and other forms of so-called diversity, which is really the polar opposite of the great message of Dr ML King. These movements always burn the midnight oil to come up with just the right sounding euphemisms, an area in which Pres Obama excelled. Playing games with words. A few examples: Food Stamps are no longer called that, they are called "SNAP". See how snappy that term sounds? It gives a snappy slant onto this form of wealth redistribution. Why do I call it wealth redistribution? Because I see all these welfare programs as thoroughly rife with fraud. Many millions who do not really need these benefits apply for them and receive them anyway. Another modern euphemism is to replace the very clear term “VD” with the new term “STD”. There are thousands of similar examples. Dwarfs are no longer called dwarfs, and certainly never called midgets, but are now referred by the ridiculous moniker, “little people”. The term “retarded” is totally out. I understand sensitivity, but much of this is just obfuscation and political correctness. Look at the recent scandals in our topmost universities, where all the current presidents have come under fire, and many have now resigned, because they are simply incapable of actual leadership. Look at the lineup of them! How many of them were ever actually qualified for these top positions? I venture to say that most, if not all of them were hired not for their qualifications, but because they fulfilled the institution's desire to check off many of their favorite boxes related to liberal views, minority status, sexuality, and other such non-germane descriptors.

I imagine that a good number of Dr Peterson's students in this class may be uncomfortably squirming in their seats that he even so eloquently teaches the real statistics and outlooks for the various tiers of individual IQ.

Why would you get this "low IQ" man a "volunteer job"? Sounds very exploitative. Now Jordan is complaining that he was almost too dumb to do the task. But they weren't even paying him like a dignified human being. Charity isn't really charity at all when it exploits and debases people. Obviously this man was fulfilling a task sufficiently economically valuable that when his work wasn't up to snuff the "charity" wanted to "fire" him. Scum.

By the end of next year Jordan Peterson will probably be replaced by a LLM AI chatbot along with all the other jobs and the only tasks will be doing the washing up and taking out the trash. IQ will will matter much less.

Being stupid isn't easy. Life is so much harder. people may joke like we are flat out unable to interact with day to day people. The thing is I'm getting into subnetting and learning it well. But fuck its been so hard. It feels like average people have photographic memory in comparison to us. I just want to not be fucking choosing between paying my rent and whether or not I'm going to be able to take warm showers for the next month or so.

If an IQ of 90 is the minimum to read and follow instructions, then I can only assume that most men (including myself) have an IQ below 90.
Putting that to one side, JP’s point about disappearing jobs for low IQ people and the problems that is causing and the need to address it, is an important one. Enjoyed the clips.

There are few things more demoralizing than doing work that is a few deviations below your respective IQ. I think many people experience this reality because the economic situation one is enmeshed in doesn't always favor your particular skill set/ intelligence type. When you have a job that is severely below your abilities, I would consider that a rock bottom experience. You are doing something meaningless, that insults your intelligence for 40 hours a week. Soul crushing. This is all too common and I believe largely contributing to various addictions, suicide, and depression.
