Hey, just got one of these. Can you clarify the audio recording caveat you mentioned? If I am using a microphone on my camera (it utilizes the Sony MI-shoe), would that audio not be in the footage recorded to the Atmos?

Does anyone know if you can record to the camera’s internal card and the ninja ssd simultaneously?

Watching this in 2022 when the price has dropped to $399...

Fantastic video and thank you for explaining. If you are shooting with the Sony as7iii and editing in final cut, would it be better though to have the atamos ninja v, so that you can shoot in raw prores, thus making it easier to colour grade and edit? Or if you have a very powerful computer, that can edit it comfortably straight from the camera, is it not worth it? If I’m not getting any additional quality in shooting in prores, and my new MacBook Pro can handle the task, I’m struggling to see why I would want the ninja? Can someone please help?

Hi. Have you had any problems with your Ninja V overheating? I just bought mine two days ago and I noticed that after 30 minutes it gets really hot. Is this normal or does this mean there is something wrong with it?
Another question... What is the best battery to buy for the Ninja; a battery with the longest runtime? Thanks.

Why not have the HDMI i/o on the bottom! Look at that cable just hanging way out on the side. Looks low rent and can be knocked out or bent so easy.

When it comes to post-production, what is the minimum number of RAM and Intel Core that I need in order to edit those large files that the Atomos records?

Is there any other way to record from camera to external ssd? That's probably my favorite feature.

Is 8 bit and 10 bit making difference in term of dynamic range?

Z6 can be used as a webcam for vloging.

Not really useful for photography when you have a camera that shows you your exposure in the viewfinder.

can it be used with a ps4 ?

So how do you transfer video from the ssd. Do you have to remove the ssd or is there a connection. How to get it on the Mac?

Does the Ninja apply the LUT to the recording it saves, or only for viewing on the monitor?

How I can Record from my Sony A7iii and I can see the result in Atomos ninja V.
Because as soon as I hit record, the Ninja goes black and only the internal card on the A7iii records the footage.?!
How I can make ninja like a normal display ?!

LOL it took almost two more years after this video before the a7S III was released.

I am considering to purchase a ninja v. One questions, how do you transfer data (recorded video) from SSD to computer? Is this through a cable or certain way?

Great Rundown. I Recently purchased a Panasonic S1, not knowing that the Camera doesn't support Trigger or Timecode out Via HDMI. Therefore I cant trigger recording on my Ninja V without physically touching the Unit itself. I was thinking I could Possibly use a LanC connection, but Atomos only supports Sony/Canon LanC out.( Per specifications) do you know of a product I could Mount to my rig and Trigger NinjaV recording via external Remote. no mention of whether those cameras LCD black out when using the hdmi... like sony does. . particularly the x-t3. (im trying to research if x-t4 does )

im really not sure how worth it this is. i have a sony A7III and i primarily shoot on a zhiyun crane plus. being that the zhiyun can only handle 5.5 pounds, im not sure how well it would balance while its attached to the camera. Is there any kind of experience you might've had while using it on a gimbal?

I have an a7iii with mic input jack. I want to buy to decent mono mics and pair them up with a splitter to get full stereo for ambient surround purposes. Which mic would you recommend?

Every review should have a Camera model breakdown in terms of benefits gained. Haha unfortunately this is a no brainer for the Z6 which means I’ll probably be spending some more money.
