How to Clean Your PS5 Safely - 3 Stages

Did a level 3, put my plug into an outlet and it still randomly turns off after an hour of play I don’t know what else to do the ps5 is a scam and waste of time and money

Had to do step 3. Disconnecting the Bluetooth antenna cable pulled the soldered connection to the board with little to no effort! 😩
Now I have to attempt to solder it back on

This looks hard for me. I have zero knowledge of electronics so I would probably end up breaking it. Is there any service that's not super costly where I can send my console to be cleaned?

You've been a great help. I just bought a defective ps5 and it was fun to join you with the dissasemble. Also fun to find out that a lot of screws were missing in my model...even after the factory seal. I guess it was a friday afternoon model...

So on stage 3 getting put back together, there are 2 screws that got put back in this video in the wrong spots, and one the the misplaced screws won't allow the disk drive to sit properly. Not a big deal but just rewind video til the disk drive was taking out for screw reference to save alittle time I guess. 🎉

Just broke the fan completely trying to unplug the white part i broke 2 of the wires😭😭 and the white part is still stuck inside i cant get it out

Do i need a special torx bit for the backside fans? The main fan has one regular torx t8 but the other 3 seem to be like security bits

The T8-9 does fit any of my crews their both too big for the job and my T7 is too small, so I'm stuck at the first part. 🥲

When the ps6 is made it should have two hatches that open up to clean the inside of the system out or have a clean hole that can attach to a vacuum hose that sucks all the dust out

Limitatevi a togliere la polvere senza smontare tutto. Può essere molto pericoloso per chi non è un ingegnere informatico. Basta smontare le scocche e usare aria compressa o mini aspirapolvere per componenti elettronici e pulire le ventole, anche senza smontarle. Meglio un po' di polvere che fare tutto sto casino e rischiare di rompere la ps5.

Wow super nice video I had issues with my ps5 turning off playing 2k24. Did stage 3 cleaning found everything pretty dirty and plugged. Cleaned it out put everything back together running like normal.

cleaned out my ps5 on level 2, now it wont start at all and immediately gives me a temp warning on start before crashing??

I just used this to clean my ps5, this video was amazing, I didn't think my ps5 would be too dirty inside and maybe just the fan dirty, boy was I wrong.
I did a level 2 cleaning and it has taken be about 90 minutes. Since doing it my ps5 is like new instead of sounding like it's going to take off and then telling me the ps5 needs to turn off due to heat

Not gonna be respectful cause you potentially caused lots of people lots of time and some money by not showing some key steps.
1) There are TEN screws to remove the plastic casing housing the motherboard and ONE of those screws is hidden under a small black adhesive. 2) The ribbon connecting the motherboard to the disc drive ON THE MOTHERBOARD SIDE, does NOT get removed the same way as you removed it from the disc drive. DO NOT PULL. Just to the right of the spot where you would have pushed down there is a very thin metal lock. This small metal piece gets pushed down and then the ribbon will release.
3) The smaller ribbons can be removed by gentle tugging on the hard blue plastic part.
4) The little round metal connectors come off easily so don't be rough with it. Use a pair of pliers and jostle upward until released.
4) If You've never opened up your PS5, the metal plate over the motherboard might be a little stuck to the board. If it doesn't immediately release, alternate gently pulling up from several sides to avoid bending the aluminum casing. You're probably still going to bend it a little bit but distributing the force will make the bend a little less drastic.
5) The Black/White cable that runs from the bottom of the PS5 to the chip needs to be released from the tape if you want to completely detach the motherboard. While this may seem like an obvious and innocuous note, some of the OCD among us may appreciate knowing that your patience will be tested if you plan to not tear the tape.
6)Similarly, if you forget which B&W white go where, there are little markers on the motherbosrd: FB/FW & RW/RB. The B & W correspond to the (B)lack & (W)hite cables
