Day of Dragons in 2023 is Looking MUCH Better! - New Bio Dragon & Sand Slayer Worm!

Later this year Day of Dragons will be releasing it's biggest update ever; All new custom dragons and it's new Mega map on UE5. We were invited with a group of creators to have a first look at a very old UE5 Build with a new dragon, This was just a preview that did not have all the functionality of their current development build and it was just to give us barely a taste of what's coming. Overall i had a great time, The devs were polite to us and trying some of the new features turned out much better than i anticipated. I would have liked to see a little more effort put into the build we did get but it would be pointless to spend a lot of time on something that we used for a couple hours and didn't represent a final product at all. Over all i am excited to see what happens with DoD when they finally publish the new content they have worked on!

It looks good, looks promising, looks like it's progressing...unfortunately because there are SO MANY games doing the exact same thing and suddenly dying off...there's not only no guarantee...there's reason and evidence to support staying skeptical of ALL early release games.

I really need to get this game

I think it's silly to add something this powerful, without the right mechanics to go with it. So running into it means a surely death, every time. Instead of having the correct tools to defeat it as a dragon, it's kind of pointless. If they wanted it to be in the game this early and just to scare you, sure. But not as a killable-but-not-really boss.

UE5 is always welcome in any game. But it puts the devs in a better lighting than they kinda deserve, as the engine does most of the job, once they've converted what they have. I have my eyes on this game, Beasts of Bermuda, Draconia, Path of Titans, The Isle -whoever makes it first and makes the best game I'd get into.

The kids and kids at heart are going to love the bio's,they're so cute.

This sand worm is amazing. Great graphics and animation.
If I may try to give some helpful advice on defeating this worm. Instead of attacking the body to kill it which seems to be heavily armored, try aiming for the mouth since that may be the weakest point of the worm. Referenced from HTTYD when Toothless shot a little fireball in the mouth of the little dragon.

Will I be able to own the Biolumin dragon in the future from giveaways after it's release?

Certain individuals with sincere passion may have saved this game from burning. But the question is: Will it be enough to recover from the crash of early PR drama, blatant consumer mistreatment, and the negativity that was centered around all things DoD? Can it redeem itself enough to be another 'No Man's Sky' story? I'm not going to hold my breath, but commend everyone who is putting their passion into something that SHOULD have been great sooner than later. As someone who put 1000's of hours into The Isle, but like The Isle, I don't personally have time to wait for all the promises to be fulfilled. Hopefully those who have decided to include themselves in the DoD community bring themselves to respect those who have their concerns and criticisms of the game. Of course only as long as those concerns and criticisms are done professionally and with equal respect. Just have fun gaming, enjoying the games that you play, while understanding that not everyone is going to feel the same way you do about the dev team or the game as a whole.

I remember it when day of dragons was just a kickstarter ( has it been 5 years??) and it was my first time buying a game through a kick starter... and I never got the game :') and no matter who I asked for help, I would be ignored. So sure, it looks great. But I already paid for this game so not going to pay again.

The Bio dragon is like some damp squib woke beta.
The worm looks and acts terribly. Seems like a pointless addition.
The bleak empty desert makes it a complete no go zone for any land based species like the ASD

cool game. I get the feeling that games like this, Arks, Path of Titans, the Isle and this and others, are getting more and more popular. Roblox has a similar game, its a huge thing.

I check up on this game every now and then after backing it on KS and I will say some of the features are looking good but is there going to be actual... content? Aside from running around and killing things - will there be quests, or missions? Crafting? Classes? Achievements? Levels? Or is it still just "grow up and kill things, or each other... but now it's prettier with more animations?" I am not trying to sound like a jerk, I just keep seeing the e-mail updates which include more and more animations or visual improvements but doesn't seem to include much on game play.

Didnt you call this a scam game to help out Dondi and told you would not play this game again?
