Love the honesty! It’s hard to be vulnerable about such intimate things.
ОтветитьJust started my channel and quit drinking too. Thanks for the inspiration
ОтветитьAbsolutely Subscribed, love your humour, wish me luck with this… “hey ma, wheres the pasta!?”
ОтветитьI loved this so much! Thank you!
ОтветитьI live in NYC too. And I only hang out with people doing outdoor activities,, which is endless in NyC. And dates I just take girls for tea and museums, which is wildly more potent of an experience lol
Ответитьyou are such an inspiration for me. i am one month sober and i can relate to a lot of the things you talked about, including wanting to stop drinking because there are people who are close to me who suffer from addiction. i love you and thank you soooo much for posting this video because you are helping people like me realize why we don’t need this garbage in our lives, thank you ❤
ОтветитьThanks Ana this is really encouraging 🤝
ОтветитьHow did you quit smoking?
ОтветитьI find this an accurate and balanced perspective. The health effects of going sober are outstanding. The social effects can be awkward and isolating from others. I feel we need more options for socializing without alcohol.
Ответить3.7 yrs alcohol free. Love this lifestyle. I make better decisions. I wake up feeling as though I am living a healthy life which I am proud of.
Ответитьthank you for sharing, it really helps ♥
ОтветитьI was never an alcoholic, but I'd drink very frequently during weekends. Getting into sports changed it, because I'd feel like shit on training on Monday. It's been maybe 8 years since I last drank some alcohol.
It's funny whenever I mention I don't drink people get surprised. Only drug people expect you to partake in as a default.
I like drinking too much to be an alcoholic. Three pints a week.
ОтветитьYES ! Two years, 30 Dec. !! 🙏
ОтветитьBeing full time waiting for it or drinking it made me feel like I was drifting constantly on a sea of depression.
ОтветитьAlcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my husband which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
Ответить7 YEARS SOBER NOW MYSELF ... SALUTE 🫡 👍🏾💯
ОтветитьThis is a downward spiral that many fight with. It seems like it is so easy to fall back into the "old habits" Congrats on escaping this spiral!
ОтветитьWhen I drank it was like drinking cocaine. The euphoria was transcendental. Invariably, however, I behaved like Ozzy Osbourne. Sober, I'm shy and thoughtful.
ОтветитьI am so happy for you!!!! I can tell you from personal experience that it gets even better over time. I’m 27 years sober and still feel so grateful each and every day!!!!! Don’t miss it one bit! Have fun on the journey!
ОтветитьSo helpful 💓🦋
Ответить4 years sober!
ОтветитьThank you for this video. Im on 11 months without the booze.
ОтветитьCool Ana I'm doing this tomorrow :) Really. :)
ОтветитьBeauty
ОтветитьI still go the bar sober and ask for a pint of redbull (they have it on the gun).
It takes me basically all night to drink one, and it looks like beer.
It's more or less a prop, but it obviates the awkward interactions without a drink in hand.
The added bonus is a shitload of b vitamins and a little caffeine, which are both social lubricants in their own rite.
This is how it feels right now in DC
ОтветитьI feel like I’m going to lose a bond with my friends cuz they’re still going out together and partying and I’m staying home. It makes me so sad.
ОтветитьGreat hair 🎉
ОтветитьI'm 44 and have been drinking since 17. Had sober periods but ultimately relapsed. I keep trying and enjoy these videos.
ОтветитьGreat job! 🎉. I am a alcohol baby now Crone , 12 1/2 years sober ,zero friends outside of my Partner . People are coming around wanting my friendship but I won’t risk it if they drink. In the gay community it’s a challenge but I love being my own best friend . I don’t do any recovery programs I just read books , hike and drink lots of tea . I love your book reviews they are different from others and I really enjoy watching them!
ОтветитьThis is beautiful and I’m so proud of you and your story. I remember in another video you said you didn’t end up finishing Infinite Jest because it got damaged in a flood, though you were enjoying it other than the endnotes. But I really hope you come back to it because of how much it means to former addicts and people in recovery.
Ответитьi’ve been off the sauce for four years. i can’t shake the cigarettes..
ОтветитьGood job! Congrats on 2 years ❤ 8 months sober for me and my bf. Its been mostly amazing. Im bipolar and my mood swings had been ruining my life ever since I started drinking. Life is soo much easier now. I dont cry and get depressed and have to lay in bed the rest of the day if I slept bad. It's been life changing truly. Dont miss it one bit!
ОтветитьYour gut biome thanks you, too! Great video!
ОтветитьThank u from me, for being a positive influence in this matter 💛💫💚
ОтветитьSeemed impossible, but it’s been over 2 years and I don’t crave a drop of alcohol, the key difference was that I didn’t suffer withdrawal, not even within the first 30 days, just happened after go’ogling Steffon Barkloads Quit Drinking Forever and genuinely quitting because I was a mess.
ОтветитьPleaseeeeee make a video if you would be able to 🫶 i loved this so much but smoking is my only vice and ive found so few videos out there focused on nicotine
ОтветитьSo many places serve NA beer now, or the old selzer and lime in a glass move. noone knows its not vodka. And viola you're holding a drink. People don't really care if it's got alcohol in it.
That's what I have found anyway .
So when people ask if they can get me a drink, I don't say no I say yes that would be great. I'd love a seltzer and lime. And if you say it confidently, there's not usually a lot of convo abt it after that and the night moves on to other topics. 😊
Thank you, that was really informative, and you are a captivating speaker. I could listen to you talk about cornflakes for four hours and still love it! Adorable.
ОтветитьYour such a dork but in a good way!
ОтветитьYou are the cutest thing ever!
ОтветитьI’m so proud of you for quitting drinking and smoking. Those are hard ones.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your experience. So grateful for the courage youre putting out there. Its healing energy. Peace and much sucess to you.

ОтветитьThanks for this video! I have a similar story and you did a great job articulating the experience.
ОтветитьI really need to stop i done 4 and a half month at the start of year and felt amazing then i started again and now struggling to get motivation to stop , am lying here with another wasted day spent in bed hung over and depressed onced again 😖
ОтветитьThis is great information. Have you seen Fostering Resilience and Dr. KJ Foster. She also has great sobriety info.
ОтветитьI'm going into my 3rd month sober and I'm tired at 10pm no matter what. I was the same way, beer gave me an extra boost, that shit would keep me awake all night. I can't do it anymore being sober. I start falling asleep around 9pm to 10pm.
