RV Newbie | Top 10 Travel Tips after 3 Years Fulltime

Thanks for this vid. We are old timers in the rv travel world, but it's been over a year since we traveled, and your advice is a good review for us to get back in the groove. I noticed your drill/driver tool roll, and wondered how you like it and where I could get one of those. It's the first time I've seen a roll for drill bits and driver bits. I carry tools, but that roll would be easier to pack.

I fixed the electrical coed extension problem, I have a plug on the back of the trailer and another on the side about a foot from the convenience center so I can plug into either one for shore power so I only carry a 30 foot cable. As far as the hose I carry three 25 ft hoses and yes the sewer I carry 40 ft and so far it's been ok

Great video! I believe you need to change the tires every 4-5 years. Better to swap before blow out.

Love all the good advice! We follow most of the same rules. 50’ sewer hoses was a bit much for us so we have a macerator and got an extra hose for it. It saved us a few times without losing too much storage space. I’d love it if you two did a video about all the apps you have used in the last 3 years and what you think about them!

Do you know airstream uses LT tires that's what I put on my RV . ST tires are junk. 👍👍

We have a 2021 377 .. another note around water. Make sure your 12volt coach water pump is turned off while and coach is in "city water" mode while hitched and traveling, else a water faucet could open and flood your coach.

We also removed all sink drain stoppers as a backup to above.

Our island sink faucet always opens as coach bounces down the road and had a close call on a short trip. We stopped for a restroom break at a rest stop and heard water running in the island. Thankfully the sink stopper was removed and not enough enough water to overfill the grey. We could have easily flooded our living room.

The worst noise ever!!!! We finally took the wall covering nautilus system and put a hinge on it. 😂

I love seeing your family each week. Your tips and experiences passed on to us are very valuable. Each week you too, become more experienced and knowledgeable. We have to put up with advertising on this end as your program progresses. Some of the advertisements are produced at the highest allowable volume. We watch your program with a large amplifier and speakers. When an advertisement comes on and we have raised our volume for your program, we get blasted. I would suggest you edit with maintaining a higher volume and a constant volume throughout your video. Use the meters which should be available to you with your editor. If you don't have meters, get some.

Great advice, what have you done to your suspension? Did you go independent? I’m thinking of adding sumo springs to ours, we have the exact unit you guys have just a ‘22

Carry 2 spare tires on the camper. The suspension tip is important. We bent our frame because of the axle hitting the frame. Believe it's from some of the bumps we hit on the interstates.

Great video, Lee and Pam! If you can upgrade your suspension, upgrade to independent suspension/disc brakes. It is an expense but it will make a huge difference in the west and tear of your rig and your personal items.
