Tune the high E down to D, and the A down to G, ignore/mute the E string. Congratulations, your guitar is now in the same tuning as a banjo, just with the first G down an octave. You can learn the chords and rolls that way before buying a banjo :)

First watched this before I started playing banjo, I thought it sounded like one. Watching this after playing for a good while this just sounds like a guitar with a balloon inside of it
