Point a gun at a police officer in the U.S., even in your own home, and you're likely to get shot, and it's completely justifiable. This is why capacity is important. Had he been armed with a proper tactical shotgun with a 7 or 8 round tube, plus 1 in the chamber and potentially even 1 ghost loaded, he would've had plenty of ammo to take out all of them and still had some left over to account for the occasional miss. A double barrel simply does not have enough capacity.
