The writers just couldn't keep straight what was and what was not important in the war. Blow up a shipyard? Never mentioned again, never impacts the war. Blow up ANOTHER one? Never impacts the war. Blow up a critical White facility? See above. Meanwhile, we have a Romulan telling us the Dominion shipyards are ticking away while the Feds are retooling.

Why is Dax calculating how much a "39 Cochrane warpfield" is contracting space when they are escaping at impulse speed? Also, I'm pretty certain they could avoid any explosion if they just go to full impulse (1/4c!) at the moment of detonation. ;)
