Top reasons not to move to Calgary: The housing isn’t actually that cheap, compared to other cities in Canada (Vancouver and Victoria are not fair comparisons). Flooding! It’s run by woke Liberal WEF freaks. The people there are unfriendly. There’s far too many ex-Toronto people there (see my last point!). Gangs!

The only benefit was the reasonable living cost compared to BC and Ontario. Now there is not much gap.
If you can put up with loooooooooong extremely cold heavy snowed winter, this is your place. I really tried to like Calgary for the past 7 years but I had enough. IF Calgary has less longer and shorter winter, yes it's a very decent city with okay infrastructure, balanced density and size, planned city-like roads, relatively less homelssness(just because it's too cold for them to survive).

As much as I agree with letting people move to canada, we need to limit it. It's tough for us Canadians to find housing in our own country and the amount of people moving here is a big cause of that.

Its a working city. It's great place for work experience but raising a family is a different story. It's not just about the money, it's also the people and the environment. I've never been subjected to so much verbally radical abuse in my life. People can be bitter and extremely rude/disrespectful here. Once you realize Calgary/Alberta is the "Texas" of Canada.. .things become very apparent. AKA: Very Racist People Here 🙄
