Indiana is also high school basketball. In fact, the movie Hoosiers was about a high school team.
Louisiana is also known for the Cajun people and cuisine.
Utah has 5 of the prettiest national parks in the country: Zion (rhymes with 'lion'; it's not ZYE-ahn), Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef, Canyonlands and Arches.

Outright calling the south “racist” has the be the most ignorant take i’ve ever seen. The “reputation” is just that. A reputation. One that is not grounded in reality. Having lived in both the south and the northwest, I can say with great confidence that I have actually encountered MUCH more racism up north than I ever did down south.
