Great video! But this was more of a “Parasitic draw” tutorial. NOT a short. A true short would have blown the fuse (making your amp draw test pointless as no current would flow thru your burned fuse anyway).
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWhat if the short is in a fuse that runs 6
ОтветитьHow do you install the transmitter onto the fuse ? 🙏🏽
Ответитьit might look simple to someone who already knows this ... but for the noob it is worth a lot of money. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan you remove the fuses on the second process for modern cars and test the amp like in the first car instead of mv? Millivolts?
ОтветитьMy multimeter does not have mv option
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьI like this video
ОтветитьYou misstated current flow. It flows from negative to positive
ОтветитьI am checking these things on my car. I am scared to do it, but I feel more confident after watching your video.
ОтветитьSuper video
ОтветитьThis is not a SHORT. This is a parasitic loss. Completely different things. Video title is misleading.
ОтветитьMay God bless you man
Ответитьhi, great video! but a quick question, if your subwoofer wires were short, how was the fuse not blown? or do you not have separate fuse for sub?
Ответитьhi, great video! but a quick question, if your subwoofer wires were short, how was the fuse not blown? or do you not have separate fuse for sub?
ОтветитьThanks for the explanation, quick and to the point where so many videos are not
ОтветитьKindly state the settings on your multimedia again before testing for the parasitic draw.
ОтветитьMy bike's console fuse keeps blowing .. everything else but the meters and rpm meters work ... if I replace the fuse it keeps blowing after I turn my engine on ...
ОтветитьAnother common problem with Radio Installations is the Service Tech uses the Clock Hot Always ON instead of switched HOT and is OFF when the Key is OFF. Great Video. Good Job finding that Fire Hazard.
ОтветитьI wish I could understand what he is saying.
Ответитьi had a problem were the ipdm was the problem, or the fuse box module, even by pulling all the fuses it did not show up the problem, it keeps feeding the radio even w no fuse
ОтветитьWhat if all the fuses pulled are good and the reading doesn't go away? What then?
ОтветитьThis is actually not a test for a short, this is more of a parasitic drain test.
ОтветитьNice job with the video and the explanations. From the looks of the shorted / melted wires and melted plastic this car owner was very fortunate to have not experienced a fire.
ОтветитьYou explained it very well I understood everything you said excellent video thank you
ОтветитьVery good video and explanation. Very good use of my time.
ОтветитьA short or open?
ОтветитьA shot or open?
ОтветитьThis video is not telling you how to find a short in a circuit. Its showing you how to find a Parasitic Drain in a circuit. A short is positive going to directly to ground. People need to stop using the term short circuit Interchangeably.
Ответитьreally you are amazing person
your teaching is very simple and technical
AWESOME video, friend. Very well done and easy for both novices and experienced mechanics who need electrical help troubleshooting. Thanks for putting this together. 🍺 ✌
Ответитьthia ia all liar how would u find a current while you take of a negative terminal frim a battry
Ответитьexcellent. You are the best of the best. you explained very clearly
ОтветитьDoes this work for left-hand drive autos?? 😅
ОтветитьThe fuse that you pulled out you said there was low voltage but was the fuse broken in half? Would a test light still light up if you touched both pins of that fuse?
ОтветитьWow great video. Well done in all factors and clear witch allows anyone to understand it. Good my friend
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks
ОтветитьAwesome video
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьMy fuel injector/coil fuse keeps blowing just when it’s in the on position. What to do?
Ответитьотличные видео. так делать ролики нужно поучиться. спасибо
ОтветитьDon't bother watching, click bait, he fixes an impossible to happen problem,
ОтветитьWho the hell needs a mechanic when i have your videos to watch! Another great video that helped me a lot! Thanks!😁
ОтветитьWhen i turn my car off, I have a fan running in my radio and never stop, even after 24 hours, that drain my battery, someone can help ?
Sorry for my poor english.
I hook my multimeter up but get 0.0
ОтветитьHello
Great video hace a question i have a 98 Chevy Tahoe and it burns fuse (IGNITION A ) as soon I turn into the start position… run these test and my horn is reading 1.35 take the fuse out and drops to 60 need help plz and thank you
This is not how you find a short this is how you find a parasitic draw
ОтветитьI have an electrical issue with my car,it had a coolant leaked and over the starter and that prevented the car from starting,no lights or anything will work,I replaced the starter and put a new battery but it drains the battery overnight, any thoughts of what could be the problem?
Your video is very helpful I’m going to try to find the problem in the weekend. Thanks for uploading
