I have a 2009 Honda Accord, we had our rear brake pads, rotors, and calipers replaced. Now the handbrake is extremely loose when engaged. Should the hand brakes be adjusted at the time also?
ОтветитьCan you do this on a workbench before installing the calipers?
ОтветитьAwesome instructional!
ОтветитьThat was really informative and not boring at all man! Thanks and good job! Keep it up.
Ответитьwhat kind of car and year is this??
ОтветитьThank you for this wonderful video
I have an offer to purchase 2010 BMW 535i Xdrive, I would appreciate your recommendations on how to inspect it, and what to focus on during inspection
Accidently clicked cuz that past at the beginning looks like Wally
ОтветитьI’m guessing that you don’t have to bleed the whole system when replacing the front calipers. Right?
ОтветитьAlways can rely on Chris fix to give the best explanation and description of day. So many videos when you just try to look up how to specifically learn about the brake caliper and removing it or bleeding the brakes because I guess you supposed to after doing that but I only have time to do one at a time and eventually bleed the brakes but 😅 ❤
ОтветитьWhat makes the brake pads return to their original location after releasing the brake pedal?
ОтветитьThank you for making this video, I'm gonna try and change my own Caliper because it seems incredibly cheaper so I'll keep and update here soon
ОтветитьMy damn Caliper bolt is stuck, broke a wrench hitting it with a hammer and soaked it in WD40, going to try hitting it with a hammer and vinegar and using my jack against a wrench
ОтветитьMy local shop is telling me I need my fluids rotated? Before they can do anything it's a $90 job
ОтветитьBrake line transfer?
Ответитьeasy to follow and straight to the point. thank you. it's amazing how many "how to" videos get overly complicated in their instructions.
Ответитьawesome thanks
ОтветитьVery clear video. It helps me understand. 👍
Ответитьgreat vid mate
ОтветитьChris, I haven’t had much luck with reman calipers. Usually they’re good but then start to leak later on even if I used washers and thread locks etc. Would you recommend getting a better quality reman ? Like acdelco or moog or Bosch etc or should I just go OEM for a little bit more? Just a daily beater truck
ОтветитьYour videos are great. No unnecessary fluff and you mention torqued settings although that varies from vehicle to vehicle. For instance most if not all Toyotas it’s 76-77 lb ft for the calliper bracket bolts and 25-26 for the calliper pin bolts. Interestingly the 77 is also the torque for the jug nuts. On my 2019 Buick the torque for-the lug nuts is 100.
ОтветитьJust checked out how to do this on my Toyota Land cruiser and this video was the best I have ever seen and so well explained .👍Thanks for this.
ОтветитьCaliper bolt is difficult to access with a breaker bar and will not move otherwise on my 2012 Altima.
ОтветитьHey Chris, after you replace the caliber, do you only bleed just that one side where you replaced the caliber or you bleed all the lines?
ОтветитьYour video’s are the clearest than anybody else’s. Keep up the good & helpful work. Tganks
ОтветитьNice hands bro
Ответитьtakes less than an hour to do...why on earth the dealer charge this job for a fortune
ОтветитьTy so much for the great video. Help me how to replace my own caliper
ОтветитьMechanics must hate Chris.
Myself; I love Chris. He explains everything deeply and simply. Meaning he understands what he is talking about. His demonstrations are also awesome.
Thanks for the vid I always wondered about crushing these hoses.. i'm scared to do it. I was wondering however if i could use one of those cone shaped silicone plugs and just stop the brake line with the? I used once on my bleeder screw hole when I needed to change that and it was pretty effective.
ОтветитьI was stuck in traffic, with my foot on the brake. After releasing it, my car stalled but quickly returned to its normal state. What could cause this?
ОтветитьDo you just have to bleed the one brake caliper in this case? Thanks
ОтветитьOne of the best videos on u-tube! It's nice to a young fellow like you demonstrating in a very simple and understanding way no confusion in any way. Hats off to you!!!😊
ОтветитьThank you Chris
ОтветитьSO I CAN GET A VR SET???
ОтветитьYou must not live in the salt belt, I would have beat the crap out of those bolts to free them up because of rust.
ОтветитьI actually do my own work myself you definitely do know all about cars
ОтветитьI'm doing all 4 calipers do I have to bleed them each time or just once after I replace the calipers
ОтветитьIt's so weird hearing this version of chris 😂
Ответитьthank you, I feel like i can put on a new caliper, and bleed the brakes myself now, one of the caliper boots is hard and wont extend in and out. I had to hit it with a hammer to get the caliper to slide in.
ОтветитьThanks man 👍
ОтветитьExcellent detailed and comprehensive, Thanks.
ОтветитьMy friend that was one of the best repair videos I've watched. Very descriptive and easy to understand!
Ответитьeasier to watch than do
ОтветитьYou made opening the clamshell portion of the caliper look so easy. I've been hitting mine with everything and can't get it open 🤣
Ответить"This will make the transfer of our banjo bolt real quick." - Proceeds to show bolt.
ОтветитьI didn't see anything about removing / greasing the caliper pins.
Is it not necessary to do so?
Hi, should we apply Sil-Glyde lubricant on the pistons walls? Thank you very much
ОтветитьChris, why didn't you clamp the rubber hose to keep air going through the line?😮
ОтветитьThank you for including the "why" for everything. Most auto DIY videos tend to focus on the "what" and/or "how", and assume you know stuff I simply don't....or didn't until now. Thank you. You're literally the greatest. ❤❤❤❤💯💯💯💯
ОтветитьThe bleeder you made because you are on your own is still good for having someone else to pump the brakes as it catches the fluid rather than it going everywhere. The only difference really is speed to get the job done, running round the car and back :D
